Pet care experience
My Philosophy: Each animal is unique and so must be our approach and the way we relate to them; there isn't a one size fits all solution. Animals have their own unique way of communicating and we must learn their subtleties if we wish to deepen our relationship and bond with them. My approach to the care of animals has been heavily influenced by the work of Suzanne Clothier, Alexandеr Nevzorov and Joe Camp. My Experience: I have worked as a foster home for both dogs, cats and pigs (yes, the barnyard kind) providing socialization and training for over 6 years, first in Michigan and now in California. I have worked for even longer as an animal advocate and rescue volunteer. My personal canine companions have always been either German Shepherd's or Caucasian Mountain Dogs but I love them all, big and small, old and young! I have worked with animals that have behavioral issues, medical needs, etc. and I take the time that is needed to earn their trust and build a relationship with them. My Family: I currently have a rescue German Shepherd, named Kali (1.5 years old) and I am also mom to two cats, an American Shorthair named Jasper (9 years old) and a Sphynx named Sheldon (6 years old). For You: Regardless of the service that you chose to book with me, I am going to take the time to get to know your pet. I send a brief questionnaire to everyone who books with me so that I get to know both the family and the pet so that I can provide the best care possible.
Reviews
Chloe took my request at the 11th hour, gave me peace of mind knowing the dogs will be looked after and have play time. The Girls had fun with Chloe
I've been a client of Chloe's for around 3 years now and she's been just great. I met her while doing a volunteer training and we got talking about the dog (Archie) I had just adopted. He was having some issues when we would go out on walks, like being scared of other people or warry of dogs and because he's a Doberman, people would mistake his being shy for aggression. Chloe offered to help out and she ended up working with us three times a week for the first couple months we had him and he's just ended up being such a blessing to my life ever since! His behavior did a complete 180. Since all of that I've hired her for walks and during the holidays she has done homestays for me. Archie loves her and I know he's in good hands. I'm glad I have this opportunity to thank you Chloe on here and promote the work you are doing! I whole heartedly recommend her, she goes above and beyond and you won't be disappointed.

I love animals of all shapes and sizes and I am more than happy to provide care to all your animal companions. My one exception to that is that I won't pet sit for spiders (sorry!) Before I provide a service for a client and their companion I send out a questionnaire that goes over your pet's personality (likes/dislikes), feeding instructions, allergies, things you're working on with them, boundaries you've set for them, your routine with them, etc.
A typical day
::Sample homestay for your pet:: Movie nights watching Homeward Bound, AirBud, Lady & The Tramp or Pets while getting snuggles on the couch; playing with and learning pet puzzles; learning new tricks they can show off; "helping" bake homemade treats; spa treatment complete with brush out and collar adornments ::Sample walk for your pet:: Going on different hiking adventures; working through and mastering the socialization checklist; checking out all the best bathroom spots; getting cool drinks of water and cool down/stretches afterwards ::Sample drop-in for your pet:: Trying to figure out the frozen pet treat puzzles; getting their favorite meal served; playtime with their favorite toys and some new ones; visiting their best potty spots; lots of snuggles, hugs and love
