Dog Lovers with Big Yard

My husband and I are dog lovers. We have one dog, Huckleberry, a two year old Hound/Shepherd mix, who loves to play and has a large fully fenced yard all to himself. I am home 75% of the day as a PhD graduate student so provide lots of supervision. We have a dog door to allow dogs in and out access at all times but can also crate dogs (we have our own large crate)/ restrict dogs to outside if owners request when we're not home. I love to take dogs on long walks and runs if that's their thing. We are highly flexible and can allow dogs full reign of the home or can enforce any rules you typically have (e.g no lying on furniture). We can't wait to make your dog a temporary member of the family!

Chloe is a great pet sitter! She sent us pictures of Jasper frequently, and Jasper got along with her dog, Huckleberry. She took Jasper on frequent walks, and Jasper had access to a yard. We would definitely book again!
Thank you for coming to check on our pups! They were fed, happy, and tired from fethcing. Chloe was easy to schedule with, cared for our pups as if they were her own, and we really appreciated the pictures. Great experience- will book again when needed!

We welcome all dog breeds however, we cannot welcome dogs known to be aggressive with other dogs as we have our own. Additionally, since growing out of his own puppy phase, our dog Huck has started to not get along with puppies. Essentially, he likes to play but does not respond well to younger, energetic dogs who don't take his cues to let him approach. Thus, we cannot accept young dogs who still act puppyish in their play with others. If you have any questions about whether your dog might be a good fit, feel free to reach out!
A typical day
Our dog, Huckleberry, will happily play with other dogs or leave them be. His best friends range from 10-80 lbs and are all varieties of active. Huck particularly loves older calm dogs and small dog breeds. We have a great, quiet neighborhood for long walks with woods I enjoy taking the dogs to. We also love to take dogs trail running or hiking so if that sounds like a good time to your pup, we're up for it! Happy to accommodate all special needs!
