Thank you!*** My Experience: I am the proud owner of a 5 year old guinea pig named Bailey, and two rescue ferrets named Hoshi and Getsu. I am also the loving mother of two cats, Jasper and Wesley. I am currently a second year veterinary student at Iowa State. Formerly, I worked as a boarding specialist and veterinary technician at Kensington Bird and Animal Hospital, providing care to all exotic pets including reptiles, birds and small mammals. For 3 years, I worked as a wildlife care technician at St. Francis Wildlife Association in Quincy, FL. I am a member of the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council and the National Wildlife Rehabilitator's Association, and I am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in the state of Connecticut. As such, I routinely attend conferences and seminars for basic first aid on animals. I have worked with wildlife, livestock, and domestic animals in South Africa, and worked as an intern with farm animals at Rowanwood Farm, a rescue ranch located in Newtown, CT. I have also volunteered as a kennel attendant with Cauzican Care Animal Rescue, providing care to cats waiting to be welcomed into their forever homes.
