Pet care experience
I started pet sitting for neighbors and friends at the age of fifteen. I have always enjoyed being around and spending time with animals throughout my life. This has lead me to work various jobs in the animal care industry. I formerly managed an animal boarding facility in central Indiana, I'm a certified pet groomer (the majority of my experience is with dogs), and I formerly worked for a small pet sitting company. I have been trained on canine CPR & to be able to decipher canine body language. In my past experience, I have worked consistently with elderly dogs, high energy dogs, & dogs that require medication(s). I am a trustworthy & reliable animal lover who is dedicated to giving your pet the care they need.

Chianne is a responsible and caring person who loves all animals. She has been a vegan since age 15. She has dog and cat sat for me on many occasions and I never worry about my animals while they are in Chianne's care. They are always happy and healthy when I get home and they love Chianne. She also is a graduate of the dog grooming school of Indiana, so they get their nails trimmed and ears cleaned and bathed if I ask her to. She is a great find and you can't go wrong having her pet sit.

Safety, trust & environment
Working with pets professionally has made me very cautious when they are in my care. No matter where I am I will double check fences for holes, open gates, etc. If I don’t feel confident with a fencing situation, I will allow dogs out on leash. I will use their own leash and also always have a slip lead to put on in addition to a dogs leash for the escape artists. :)
Information Chianne H. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting your pet, I need to know if there are any things that they don’t like people to do around them (ex: wear hats, touch their paws/ears, etc.) and if they have ever bitten a person or another dog before. I don’t have any breed preferences. My only preference is that your dog is friendly.
A typical day
I am a firm believer in not only physical stimulation for dogs but also mental stimulation. I have lickimats, puzzles & love to play “hide the treats” games with dogs. In addition to regular exercise walks, I also love to allow dogs to have “sniff walks” where the pace is a little slower and I allow pets to take their time to take in all the smells of where we are walking. This not only engages them in exercise but also mental stimulation.

I currently work part time so weekends and evenings are the best time frame for me to provide pet care. Feel free to reach out about times outside of this range, I may be able to adjust my schedule to accommodate!
