Cat and dog owner all my life!
Pet care experience
I grew up with 5 cats, a dog, and many other little and even exotic animals. I'm well experienced in caring for cats and dogs both personally and previously as a dog walker in downtown Chicago. As a animal caregiver and lover, I've administered oral medication to both dogs and cats and have assisted elderly dogs and cats as well in which I maintained a gentle careful touch with them. Outside of "traditional" pet care, I grew up riding horses while at one time having my own who I exercised, groomed and spent much time with. Additionally, in 2015 I volunteered at an animal rescue center in Costa Rica where I learned to care for exotic cats, and monkeys over a 3 month time period. Overall, with any animal I've worked with, I am always aware of their boundaries and temperament in order to assure they are comfortable and having fun!

It was our first experience with a dog sitter. Cheyenne was great! She came to visit us beforehand and made us comfortable to leave our dog with her. She arrived early on the day and became great friends with our dog very quickly. We have no family nearby to ask for dog sitting but now we can count on Cheyenne and we can make plans without worries. Thank you!
Cheyenne was great with Ben and Oliver. She took care of Ben with his meds with the greatest regard. She spent quality time and attention to both of them. They are looking forward to seeing her soon. ?
Cheyenne has taken care of my dogs multiple times and she’s always been amazing! I have long work days and she helps ensure that they have fun, fulfilling days when I can’t be there for them. My dogs LOVE her, she always goes out of her way to make sure they’re happy, loved, and well exercised. I know they are receiving amazing care when Cheyenne is there and I’m so appreciative!

When caring for a pet in a home I maintain awareness of possible safety hazards in the environment, and I am more than willing to assist your pet in ensuring they are safe and their boundaries are respected. While walking your pet I always make sure their collar, leash and/or harness is secure and comfortable and I stay alert of our surroundings while outside to guarantee your pet's wellbeing. I will be sure to follow any instructions you have given me in order to maintain high quality care of your pet.

Please let me know if your dog requires any special assistance in anyway, whether on the walk, or indoors. Do they have any behaviors that I should expect to be normal for them or in turn abnormal? This way I can give the best possible care and assure both owner and pet a great experience!
A typical day
When watching your dog I like going for walks, or a jog if they need it, through town or at the local nature preserve and park. I love getting out in nature with the dogs I watch for their own stimulation while also keeping them at a safe distance from local wildlife and other dogs. Additionally I’ll play indoors with your dog with their favorite toys or I’ll sit with them and give them a good belly rub, whichever is preferred by pet and owner! Being a real big cat lover myself, I'm very attuned to feline needs! I'll play with your cat, welcome them to cuddle on my lap for some good scratches, or I can give them their space as many cats can often prefer :)

Availability
I currently have available time to walk, watch and play your pet as need be. During my visit with your pet I will keep my attention to their needs and I will always treat them with the care I give my own pets. I'm primarily available during the weekdays, but I do have availability on select weekends for all services including over night stays, so you are welcome to ask and I will get back to you asap!
