Experienced Pet Walker/Sitter from Washington DC!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Cheyenne. I am a professional and extremely experienced dog and cat sitter who moved to the UK in late 2018 from Washington DC, USA. From a very young age I lived on a farm in rural Oregon (USA) and took care of a variety of animals, from cats, dogs, horses, bunnies, sheep, etc. I am very experienced with large dogs, having owned a 100-lb Great Pyrenees, 150-lb Great Dane and 90-lb Treeing Walker Coonhound most recently. However, I also adore small pups I can cuddle up with and give lots of loving! I keep a baby-cam (streaming to my phone) in our house whenever I leave a pup alone for any amount of time. This way I can monitor their well being, communicate with them if they are upset and always keep you updated on their status. This being said, at the moment I am at home full-time. Regarding relevant skills, I am trained in doggy first-aid and CPR and have several vets within minutes of my home. I have successfully potty trained several dogs over the years using crate-training. I also always work on basic training with the dogs I watch to keep them occupied and motivated. While in the US, I maintained many repeat clients (dog and kitty) around the DC area. I am now rebuilding my client base in the UK. Dog breeds I have the most experience with (and understanding of) include: Beligian Malinois, German Shepherds, Shelties, Vizlas, Terriers, Shih Tzus, English Mastiffs, Hounds, Labs, Huskies, Golden Retrievers and more! If we decide that visiting your home would be best for you, I'm happy to check on plants and make sure all is well while I am there playing with your pup or cat! Also happy to feed fish/hamsters/lizards, etc.! Should you need dog boarding in my home, please know that we live in a detached home with a large enclosed garden 1-minute from the large Ladybridge Park. I live with my husband and Basset Hound Beti. My stepdaughters come on the weekends only, aged 13 and 16 and very good with animals. Please contact me with any and all questions! Best, Cheyenne
Reviews
Cheyenne did an incredible job watching my year old, 110 lb dog Rufus. She was great with Rufus and he clearly had a great time when I arrived to pick him up. Since she works from home Cheyenne was able to be very observant with Rufus. Thank you Cheyenne!
Cheyenne was great to work with. And she sent me lots of pictures of Bear while I was gone which made me happy. Bear had a great time at her house! Recommend!
Cheyenne took absolutely wonderful care of our pugs. One has some weird ailments that she dealt with like a pro. We really appreciate her good care and for keeping us updated while we were gone. Will certainly be booking again!
Cheyenne was incredibly helpful during our trip to DC. She was not only responsive throughout the trip but treated our dogs with the highest level of care. The consistent updates allowed us to enjoy the weekend without worrying about our pups. When we visit DC again, Cheyenne will be our first choice of sitter!

Information Cheyenne B. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting a pup, I prefer to know the following: are they at all aggressive with other dogs, feeding schedule, walk schedule, exercise needed, how long can your pup be left at home, does he/she need a crate while left alone, barking habits, is he/she potty trained, and can they get on furniture or sleep with me on the bed?
A typical day
I typically like to follow whatever schedule the dog is on at home. However, I am a HUGE walker! I love to explore the countryaide with pups in hand. I have a beautiful park a minutes walk from our house where your pup can play with other pups (on leash). I also am a huge hiking fanatic. If your dog is high-energy and we previously have discussed this, I am happy to bring them with me for a nice, fast paced walk in the wilderness!
