Hi! I am a stay at home mother to two toddlers (3,5 yrs). We like to get out to hike and walk each and every day, and would love for your dog to accompany us. We have a dog who we take with us everywhere. All day we play, romp, sleep, and eat as a group. We have a large, 6ft privacy fenced yard with 8 hens (which will remain in their pen during your visit) where we play ball, tug, frisbee, etc. We also have an indoor cat. My husband also works from home most days, and tends to our children and dog when needed, so I have the availability and focus needed to devote to your pets. I’ve had dogs my entire life and would have it no other way! Being a pet owner and mother of two children, I know how hard it is to leave something you love with a stranger. I promise you, I will take great care of your pet and love it like it is my own. Being as I have small children, I can not have dogs that show aggression or jump. My children are extremely respectful to animals (I am a wildlife biologist currently on break), but my duty is to keep both your pets and my children safe and happy!

Cheryl was absolutely amazing! She was flexible with the times I needed, sent updates often, and made my puppy feel at home. The second day we dropped the pup off, he was shaking with excitement! I will definitely be using her again!!

Cheryl has gone above and beyond from Day 1. She arranged a meet and greet so we could feel comfortable. She sent many photos of my dog -putting me at ease while away. She even created rainy day games for him, and he seems to have quickly become a part of her family. I am so grateful for her excellent care and communication.

What your pet likes/dislikes and how we can make it feel at home here. What your normal day and routine look like. I have a large outdoor garden and indoor plants. If your dog loves is a serial digger or plant eater, this is not the right home. I would prefer that your young puppy use the kennel/crate for times that I cannot devote 100% attention (e.g. I need to shower and it is the safest place for them).
A typical day
We walk/hike every day, including snow, wind, rain, cold, etc. Our dog goes on an “adult only” walk each morning and night before bed. During the day, we do an additional walk/hike on a trail or park, and/or play ball, tag, etc in our fenced yard. I like to get all the dog energy out when we are outside, so we can spend plenty of time snuggling indoors.
