Whether your pet is high energy or laid back and chill... your furry child will enjoy their stay! I have 3 bedroom house with a fenced in backyard and doggy door. My 8 yr old golden retriever, Cooper plays well with others and has a great disposition. Humans and dogs alike love Cooper! I am an elementary art teacher and work from 6:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. during the week. I will take your pup walking, hiking, or rollerblading, or to the dog park upon my return home from school. Cooper is a whiz at training other dogs not familiar with how to use our doggie door. On weekends I'm usually home the majority of the time and will share any other plans with you. I am a life-time dog owner and dog lover, with previous pet sitting and doggie-day care experience. I do require a Meet-n-Greet prior to your dogs first stay. This is done in my home so you can see where your dog will enjoying their stay, and they can get acquainted with myself, my home and Cooper. A recent outbreak of leptospirosis in dogs was identified in Maricopa County, Arizona. Over 50 dogs in Maricopa County have been diagnosed with leptospirosis during the last year (since February 2016). The outbreak is still ongoing. Leptospirosis, a bacterial disease that can affect people and animals, has been on the rise in Maricopa County dogs since February, 2016. The bacteria that causes leptospirosis is spread in the urine of infected animals, including rodents, wildlife, pets, and livestock. People and dogs can be infected through contact with infected urine or urine-contaminated water or wet soil. Dogs with leptospirosis can potentially spread the infection to people and those that work with animals may be at increased risk for infection. Dogs with leptospirosis can shed the bacteria in their urine for up to several months, even if they don’t have symptoms.
