Wag more, at Speckles' house!
Pet care experience
I treat my dogs like family, that's the way I was brought up. Hershey, my first, lived to be nearly 15 years old, and 2 knee replacement surgeries before I had to make the hard, hard decision to let her go. Blaze, my boxer, I had to let go much sooner due a degenerative spinal disease that took his mobility. I lost my Speckles to lymphoma in June 2022 (@specklesmcgee on instagram), a rescue Basset Heeler from Oklahoma. I have a yard filled with trees and squirrels. My home is furry, I don't mind. There is nothing like the love of a dog. I am a dog person with lots of love to give! My booking is set to 2 dogs at a time, but have boarded more on occasion. I will take repeat guests, if I feel comfortable with their temperament, up to 4 dogs /night.
Reviews
I always feel great leaving my girl with Cheryl! She does such a great job taking care of her and is easy to communicate with, providing frequent updates and cute pictures!
We love Cheryl! She took the best care of Zoey and we really appreciated the daily messages and pictures. We will definitely use Cheryl again!
Cheryl is wonderful with my 2 dogs! I’ve used her many times and will continue because she does such a wonderful job of taking care of the pups when I’m out of town.
As always, a stay with Cheryl is Grace's favorite!!

I keep my guests separated when I'm not home. I have 2 large crates, or can isolate dogs in a bedroom if they are not comfortable crated.
Home
Information Cheryl R. would like to know about your pet
I need to know approximate drop-off and pickup times, I need to know that your dog is safe for me and my home, that all recommended vaccines are up to date, flea/tick protection is being used and that there is no aggressive history. I also need to know if the dog is an escape artist. If your dogs can be trusted to not chew/destroy furniture or belongings, they are fine to stay out while I am gone. If they are normally crated or are destructive, they will need to be crated at my house. I have a large and a medium crate.
A typical day
I don't take dogs on walks, I just allow them to run & roam in the back yard. They are not left alone in the yard.

Availability
I am home most of the day, and my guests spend a lot of time lounging and cuddling, so low-energy dogs fit in best here.
