Quiet,Loving Home 4 UR Fur Baby

Pet care experience

I'm retired so I can spend lots of time with your baby. I live on a corner with a big back yard & a chain link fence, nice & open. I have a new rescue furbaby & still learning her likes/dislikes. She's a 1 yr old Shih Tzu mix & is VERY active, playful little girl. I love all animals and support RedRover, a non-profit dedicated to helping animals in crisis. Why I love dog sitting I've been an animal lover all my life and have had pets all my life as well. I currently only a 1 yr old female Shih Tzu mix. I had cats for several years and gerbils for a while. I have several gates and a crates to keep them separated if necessary. Not to mention that I am retired and spend most of my days at home. Meet my pets Lizzie is a 1 yr old Shih Tzu mix that I just adopted. She VERY active & playful & quite the tease. She growls a lot but it is all show. About my yard I have a very nice, big open yard on a corner lot that has a chain link fence all around. Lizzie & our guests just loves sitting on the deck or grass & watch the world go by. My experience administering medication Yes. I can give oral meds and I have also given under the skin IV fluids for kidney/renal failure. I can also do insulin injections.

Cheryl was great at taking care of our little boy, Cody. We were a little nervous about leaving him for over a week, but she sent us updates and pictures throughout the week which really comforted us and reassured us that Cody was in good hands and being cared for. Cody made friends with Lizzy and came home with little to no anxiety from being away from us and his home. Thank you Cheryl for taking care of our baby. Michelle

Cheryl is friendly and thoughtful of Cody’s needs. The environment was clean and warm. Upon pick up Cody seemed to be relaxed and at ease and excited to see us. Very happy with the overall experience and would recommend Cheryl to friends and family. Thanks again!

Cheryl was a great sitter. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. When I got home my dog was happy to see me but she was glad that she stayed or she did. Cheryl sent pictures and mini was on Cheryl lap most of the time.

I had to be gone for 10 days, so I was a little concerned about leaving my precious dog with a person she doesn't know very well. But Cheryl ended up being a perfect pic for my little girl. I will use Cheryl whenever I have to leave her with anyone. She is a wonderful sitter. She sent me pictures and notes to calm my fears and I am forever grateful to her.

Information Cheryl G. would like to know about your pet

I prefer smaller non-shed breeds, Shih Tzu, Maltese, Lhapso and low keyed. They would have to be UPD on all shots and house broken. And able to put up with my active/playful little girl. Need to know if there any health issues. Should also be freshly bathed. Would need a detailed list of habits, likes & dislike etc. Filling out the Care Instructions would be perfect and a permanent record that could be viewed by any Rover.com sitter.

A typical day

I like to play with them in my backyard for exercise. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Lizzie sleeps in a crate & would prefer our guests sleep alone in a crate or bed. Being retired, I am home pretty much 24 hrs. I occasionally go out for dinner or out with friends but never more than a few hours at a time and brother just lives down the street.
