Pet care experience
I am COVID-19 vaccinated (but still observing safety guidelines!) and am currently offering my services in Canton, Patterson Park, Fells Point, Inner Harbor, and Federal Hill (nothing outside those areas, sorry!). **Please note that any overnight requests, or requests that must be completed at a specific time (versus flexible timing) must have some form of guaranteed, dedicated parking available (not street parking).** My family have been cat people since I was a kid, and that's stayed with me into my current adult life. I was a cat foster for Feline Rescue Association for over 5 years, which is how I went from having 1 cat of my own to having 5. Yep...5. 😆 I am super happy to come check on your kitties and make sure they're loved, brushed, and fed (and boxes cleaned) while you're away!

Every visit, whether a pet is friendly or skittish, I do my best to lay eyes on them and get a photo so the owner can see they are safe. If ever I see cause for concern (food left uneaten, pee/poo outside the litterbox, signs of illness) or have trouble locating kitty, I will always contact the owner straight away, and escalate to reporting to Rover/getting to a vet if the situation seems emergent. Being a pet owner myself, I know how worrisome it can be leaving them, and try to offer whatever I can to help owners enjoy their time away without worry!

I would definitely want to go over any potential triggers the pet may have (fearful around new people, territorial, tendency to swat/bite, etc.) so as to be prepared for or avoid potential issues during our time together! I would also want to make sure I'm aware of the owner's preferences for their pet in terms of treats (allowed or no?) and any potential health/physical issues that could impact our time together.
A typical day
Kitties in my care will get the loves and playtime they want, but I also am careful not to stress them out by pushing their boundaries. I have had kitties sit on my lap the first visit, and some I have had to peer under beds to lay eyes on, and that's the most I see of them the entire booking. I try to get cute photos to send, as well as an update of how our visit went.

Availability
I do my visits before or after my full-time job as a nanny (so either around 7am or 6pm) and on weekends. Kitty care works particularly well for my schedule, given they are often a little less demanding of a rigid schedule!
