I have 2 years of vet tech schooling before changing my major from animal health science to psychology. Now I am finishing up my master in school counseling. I also have bred golden retrievers, domestic short hair cats, and many exotic birds. I have tons of animal knowledge and experience, grew up on animal planet. I've found common sense to not be so common especially when it comes to caring for pets. I've been known to sacrifice more than I should for the sake of my own pets, and wouldn't hesitate to do the same for your pets. Worked in a pet store as well. I have knowledge and experience that many pet owners would be very happy to know their pets are in good care.
