For most of my life, animals have always been affectionate to me. I don’t show fear, and I let them become familiar with my scent before I pet them. I’ve never had a bad experience with an animal, which isn’t to say it couldn’t happen, but I am gentle, yet firm when it comes to our four legged friends. I grew up always having dogs and cats, and they were all treated well, and were friendly, but yet territorial if they felt the need to be. I currently have two indoor cats, and when my mother visits, she always brings her small/medium size dogs and they all get along great. Playful actually. I do no agree with abuse, but I do believe in teaching them discipline.
