Hi! My name is Chelsea, and I’m an experienced pet sitter with a concentration in special needs animals. After spending three years caring for blind, deaf, and elderly dogs with a pet care company in Boston, MA, I transitioned into veterinary assisting at a “fear-free certified” animal hospital in Denver, CO. After having spent more than one year working directly with vets and their patients, I’m now in Castle Rock to focus on animal behavioral work with the area’s rescues and shelters:) My experience includes handling and counter conditioning anxious or aggressive pets, independently monitoring and medicating for various health issues (diabetes, heart problems, etc), and building individualized care plans based on each pet’s needs. Though I’m well experienced in these more difficult cases, I’m equally as enthusiastic to provide simple feeding, walks, and playtime for the more every-day family pet. I believe in tending to all animals with care and respect, and whenever I have the opportunity to do that, I’m doing what I love.
