Pet care experience
When I was 10 years old, I wanted to be a Veterinarian. Although my plans changed, I have still enjoyed caring for animals from volunteering at animal shelters and clinics to helping my grandmother run her own pet sitting business in California for 2 years. Pets have just always had a special place in my heart and home. In fact, I met my husband online and what made me respond to him out of all the messages in my inbox was because his profile picture was of him and his Labrador Retriever! A man after my own heart! He stays home with our fur babies during my Rover visits and stays. I enjoy caring for dogs and cats but also have experience with horses, rabbits, rats, hamsters, puppies/kittens, cockatiels, betta fish and ball pythons. If your pet requires medication administration then you’re looking at the right profile! I have experience giving optic, otic and oral medications to cats and dogs and even injectable medications like insulin to dogs. I'll always send you photos and text updates, too, (or Rover Cards if you prefer) so you can rest assured that your pets are in good hands. Please note that I do work full time- Monday-Friday from 8:30am until 5:00pm- which isn’t always the best timeframe for puppies and some senior dogs.

I was a nervous first time user of Rover and Chelsea not only patiently walked me through the process but she was amazing in all aspects. The daily texts and pictures of our animals was immensely reassuring and made me feel like I was always in the know. Our animals were well cared for and she was knowledgeable in handling our large American Pit Bull Terriers as well as our young delicate French Bulldog. We came home to our house sparkling clean and freshly vacuumed. I plan on requesting Chelsea for all future trips. I don't think another person would be able to live up to the standard she has set.
Chelsea is the best!!! My pets love her. And she keeps me up to date while I’m gone!

No breed preferences whatsoever. I'm a lover of all pets with the exception of spiders. Before my first visit, I would like to know a little bit about your pet like what are some things he's afraid of or doesn't like and what's the best way I can earn his trust? Also, a list of contacts for emergency situations would be greatly appreciated. Although it hasn't happened yet I'd rather be safe than sorry.
A typical day
If there is a spot your furry friend loves to visit or a trail she likes to walk then that's what we'll do! I have a beautiful trail that stretches for 4 miles behind my house as well but I'll never drive away with your pet or take her to a dog park without your permission first. Play time is also essential for animals as it helps to form bonds, strengthens socialization skills and provides mental stimulation which means more time chewing on a squeaky toy and less time chewing on the furniture! That is why my drop in visits are 45 minutes to an hour depending on if you request a walk during the drop in. Hygiene is just as important for pets as it is for people which is why I offer light grooming services free of charge. If you'd like your pet brushed daily, have theirs paws and faces cleaned several times a day or bathed, please request these at the meet and greet.
