Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs since I was an infant. All dogs were abandoned dogs. Gimpy, our dachshund, was hit by a car and we took him in when I was 6. He was the leader dog in the neighborhood. My 'first' own dog, Lily, I got at the Santa Fe pound as a puppy and I taught her to open and close doors to let herself out/in. She could get a beverage out of a cooler (I didn't want a 75 lb. dog opening the fridge). My two current dogs -one was found looking in each car on San Mateo in ABQ, someone dumped him. Super sweet and smart (short haired pointer) and the other is a 90lb mutt. She has a big bark but a lover, she lets kids sleep on her and roll her in blankets.

Chelsea and her family are just the best, the perfect blend of care and 'space' for our Nugget over Thanksgiving week. He came home content, relaxed and happy... just what we had hoped for. Chelsea knows and loves dogs... and they know it.
Chelsea turned out to be just what Nugget needed on his first visit to her home. As a 13-year old dachshund, he has become attached to our company and his own territory; and he needs a time to adjust to new surroundings. Chelsea just let him stay in his own travel case until he was ready to come out and socialize with her dogs, and he apparently got more comfortable with her home and family. Nugget will be coming to Chelsea next for 5 days at Thanksgiving, and we are confident that he will do well there, thanks to Chelsea's patience and open acceptance of Nugget as he is.
Our dog LOVED his stay with Chelsea! He apparently didn't want to get in the car when my husband went to pick him up...perfect. She's responsible, caring, relaxed and knows dogs. Great environment for your dog as well. I'll be using her all the time, she gets a five star from canine and human alike.
Chelsea is one of my dog's favorite humans! She is one of the few people who gets his extra excited squeal-whimper when he sees her. When she dog sits for him, I always know I can rely on her to follow specific feeding instructions for his picky diet and to make sure that he gets plenty of snuggles and attention. My dog is a little guy (14 pounds) and I appreciate how she can manage a group of dogs of various sizes without incidents. I think she is good at noticing and responding to their doggie body language and so she anticipates and avoids potential tiffs. I most definitely recommend Chelsea at a pet sitter!

I only want dogs that get along with other dogs. I can do shy but I do have 2 dogs of my own and don't want to start any stress on any doggy.
A typical day
We have 1.6 acres and trails all around the neighborhood, so hiking or walking. Also, have a bin of toys to play with. And my dog loves the laser pointer, so we have that.
