Lots of free cuddles included!

Pet care experience

My original career was in the animal shelter industry, where I worked in animal care and also as a veterinary technician for seven+ years in Michigan, followed by one year in Lexington, Kentucky. I have also been employed by a dog walking/pet sitting service in Michigan and have done Rover work in Lexington. I also have experience with horses and chickens! I have a particular soft spot for senior dogs. I love walking around my neighborhood in Wilmore and would love to have some dog company! I have recently completed my PhD in cultural anthropology and am currently home all day. I share my house with one dog-loving partner, who also works from home, and one small, sweet cat. We can only host dogs in our house who are guaranteed to be good with cats because our cat is VERY friendly with dogs (has no fear). We do require a meet-and-greet to check that they will get along. Visits longer than one week will only be booked in we have watched the dog for a shorter period first. We currently have quite a few reoccurring dog guests who book with us, so am particularly interested in finding more clients for dog walks and pet care in your own home. Starting in June 2021, I will be donating 3% of my earnings from Rover to Greater Charlotte RISE (greatercharlotterise. org/), a local outreach organization supporting housing insecure men, women, children, non-binary, trans-folks, and families in our community. [June donation $28.65]

Chelsea was absolutely wonderful to my kitty. She sent lots of photos and spent time playing with him (which people don’t always do with cats and they need it too!). She also went the extra mile to keep things extra clean. We’ll definitely have Chelsea again!!!

Chelsea did a phenomenal job taking care of my baby, Paisley! She sent pictures and updates often, making it easier to enjoy vacation without my pup. I would highly recommend Chelsea, and I would trust her to watch my dog anytime!

Chelsea and Henry did a fantastic job with my senior dog. Lucy was well cared for and I received pictures and updates. Highly recommend.

Chelsea was absolutely phenomenal! She checked in on our cat while we were out of town and always left updates and adorable photos. We were nervous to leave him but Chelsea really put us at ease :) She clearly cares about animals and was very responsive! We will definitely be asking her to petsit again!!!
