I have been a Rover sitter since January 2017. Since beginning with Rover, I've sat for hundreds of pets, many with special needs and each with their very own personality! I've always loved being around animals. Although I grew up around dogs, I also love cats and recently adopted a bonded pair of cat brothers. I got my first pet, a white toy poodle named Muffin when I was 7 years old. She was warm, loving, playful, and bounding with energy. She could chase a tennis ball for hours and never get tired. Muffin's deepest wish was to finally catch one of those pesky squirrels that ate from the backyard bird feeder. Muffin only weighed 7 pounds, but she was 100% dog. She warmed my childhood and created treasured memories, but she also helped me to learn valuable life lessons about responsibility and friendship. I always do a meet and greet before a homestay so that you can get to know me and so can your pets. I think it makes the stay more comfortable for everyone. You can always reach me, day or night while traveling. I currently offer walks, drop-ins, and homestays. I'm a very communicative and active sitter. I send updates with pictures every day. I am very experienced with pets that have special needs. A lot of the pets I sit for are rescues, and many have anxiety, especially when their humans are out of town. Keeping a normal routine is key as well as having a calm, relaxed demeanor. I love a good puppy or kitty snuggle!
