Myself and my flatmate (who will also be tending to cares) have both had at least one dog since a young age. We both have plenty of experience taking care of dogs as children and young adults, walking them, feeding them, cleaning them and giving them lots of cuddles! We both have multiple dogs at home that we very much love and miss and we know how important it is that they get the right level of attention and care. We currently live in a flat in the city centre. However, do not be put off by this! We are a very clean household and have various close parks for walking your pets! Chelsea ~ I myself have 4 dogs at home and a cat. I have had all of these since they were 8 weeks of age or younger. 2 of which were born at my house and kept from litters that I cared for, so not only have I had experience of caring for new born puppies I have also had experience caring for a pregnant mumma doggo and caring for her post pregnancy. I trained all my dogs and my cat myself from which I developed a sense of patience when litter/house training. I currently study Child nursing at university, which I have learnt many transferable skills from. I enjoy looking after children and animals and can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Esmée ~ I’ve lived in a household with a dog since I was born. At home at the moment we have 3 border collie dogs of various ages who I absolutely adore. Since I was young I have been actively involved in taking care of my dogs since both my parents work full time. From walking, cleaning and feeding them to just giving them attention with games and cuddles I enjoy every aspect of caring for dogs. For the past couple of years until I moved away I have also been helping to care for my partner’s grandparents’ dog (a little Yorkshire terrier with the biggest personality!), since they struggle to care for him due to their age. I am very excited to make more furry friends and give them as much attention as I would my own dogs! We care for pets daily as we have 2 very social Guinea pigs so we make sure we are at home to spend time with them as much as possible. Esmée ~ Since I am only in first year my timetable is minimal, I am only in university for 9 hours a week so have lots of time to look after your pets. Chelsea ~ I am second year at university and my timetable varies on a two week rotation. The first week I am in uni for 5 hours and the second week I am in uni for 10 hours. I also have placement during the week, where I work in the hospital however I only work mornings so will have plenty of time for your pets! Esmée and I have opposite schedules (annoying at first! But turns out it was a blessing in disguise ;)) therefore, there will always be someone there for your furry friend! We both enjoy walking and playing with pets so don’t worry about your pets exercise! We can accommodate to whatever their needs are, whether this is dietary, physical and even emotional! (Separation anxiety is well know as we have both experienced this with our dogs now and previous dogs!) Please let us know if your pet has any specific needs/preferences and we will be sure to accommodate this as best as we can!! Please also give us a heads up if your furry friend is afraid of small pets, as we can also accommodate this! The Guinea Pigs cage currently lives in the front room but we have various rooms in our flat where we can move the Guinea pigs (don’t worry they will still be comfortable).
