Pet care experience
Imagine: Fresh farm air. Miles of forested trails waiting to be explored. The sound of a gentle stream after a summer rain. Birds chirping in the distance. Long walks with friends and constant companionship. If this sounds like a vacation to you, you're out of luck. Your beloved pup; however, is in for a very special treat when you entrust their care to our family. Book with us and your dog will have a vacation all their own.
Reviews
Bella's stay with Chelsea and her family was great! Bella gets a bit nervous in new places and Chelsea helped her feel right at home. They have a great back yard and took Bella for a long walk! We got lots of wonderful pictures and updates while she was there which put us at ease and kept us informed about how our pup was doing! We will definitely be using her again!
Chelsea is exactly what we were looking for to take care of our dog. She and her family treated our pup like a queen! It was the closest environment to home we could ask for and we were put at ease the moment we met her. She is clearly a dog person, has a lot of experience/knowledge, is a loving care taker and made sure our girl had fun everyday! She doesn’t live close to us, but I will absolutely bring my dog to her again because Chelsea is that good!! We were provided with lots of pictures and updates throughout her stay and could tell she was very well cared for everyday. If your dog is spoiled like mine and loves to be around people that love dogs, Chelsea is your person!!

Pets are treated like our own. They get tons of love (lots of little hands for affection) and are allowed to pick their spot to sleep (provided they are house trained). Typically, I place whatever sleep materials in my main bedroom and the pup will sleep there or somewhere upstairs that they deem is the place to be. My little ones sleep downstairs in their own spaces, and my big guy likes to sleep on our stairs landing. It really depends on the pup's particular preferences. If you have a particulary hairy dog, we will often brush them just to keep the dust bunnies to a minimum. In the case a pup gets dirty (sometimes our yard is a bit muddy), we will bathe before they go home. **We will absolutely consider return clients for longer stays during the spring-summer-fall months**

Information Chelsea A. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog exhibit any resource guarding? Is your dog small-dog friendly? Is your dog toddler friendly? Has your dog ever bitten? What were the circumstamces? Does your dog have any environmental or food allergies? Does your dog give a particular signal when they need to go out? Is your canine up to date on heartworm / flea and tick medication? Is your dog up to date on all vaccines? When was the last time your dog was in a public setting? Are they displaying any signs of respiratory disease? Is your dog leash reactive? What commands does your dog know? How is your dogs recall? *To stay with us, your dog must be proven with small animals and small children. No exceptions.*
A typical day
During a stay with me, dogs are allowed to go outside on demand and stay out as long as they'd like (little ones are supervised outdoors at all times - hawks are scary!). As long as the temperature is above 20, without wind or precipitation, pups will be walked at least three miles daily, unless the pets abilities dictate otherwise. I am home full-time, so you can expect your pup to have constant companionship.

Our pet care routine begins at 5:45 AM. I typically walk my own pup 3 miles at sunrise. Depending on leash manners and how the pups are doing together, I'm happy to take everyone together, or take one pup in the morning and one in the afternoon. My own pups are fed a homemade diet at 7AM. I am happy to sneak some homemade goodies into your pup's food with permission, especially if they are having a hard time transitioning. I typically take everyone outside in the later morning for fetch, and again in the afternoon. We can accommodate any feeding schedule except free feeding (we have three dogs and separate everyone for mealtimes just to keep things peaceful). We do an evening feeding around the time the humans eat dinner, and then a final potty break around 8-9PM.
