Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Chelsea! I love animals and have had cats and dogs all my life. I love to be outside-- whether it's running, hiking, walking, or just hanging by water throwing sticks for pups :). I have a great deal of experience with anxious and/or high-energy dogs. My last dog was a sweet and smart Australian Shepherd with some anxiety and leash aggression. I worked extensively and consistently with trainers to help that dog overcome his issues. It was an immensely educational and rewarding experience to learn how to help him cope and to see the positive changes in his behavior. Although I'm not available during the week, I'm free before 8 and after 4, and on weekends to walk, play, and/or stay with your pup. I am an Elementary School Teacher and I pride myself on being responsible, communicative, and friendly. I love meeting new people and pets! I look forward to meeting you and your pet!
Reviews
Chelsea always manages to catch a glimpse of my ghosts, no matter how hard they hide. It’s reassuring to know they’re in good hands when I travel!
Chelsea A. cancelled a booking 3 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Chelsea is THE BEST. We are so at ease having her watch them. Of all the sitters we’ve had, she’s our absolute favorite.
Chelsea always makes me feel better about leaving town!

Safety, trust & environment
I communicate with my clients thoroughly about how they care for their pet and follow their guidelines. I provides at least twice a day walks, provide lots of play time, feed pets only what their owners tell me is okay, and am expireinced administering medication to animals. My experience with a very smart and food motivated Aussie has made me into a very thoughtful pet caretaker. I am very aware of not leaving food out or in bags where a dog could sniff it out and access it. I pay attention to fenced in areas, leashed areas, and to other people and animals in the environment around us while on walks to keep pups safe.
Information Chelsea A. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have any special needs (dietary, medication, physical limitations, anxiety, fear of or should avoid certain situations, etc.)? What does your dog love to do-- how can I help your pup be its happiest self?
A typical day
In addition to going for walks around the neighborhood, I love going for hikes with dogs if they're mentally and physically up for it. I like to gauge what your dog is interested in and go from there-- do you have a really active dog who loves the park and other dogs? Let's go to the park or for a hike! If you have an older dog, I'll meet their needs by hanging out with them and going for less physically intense walks.
