Fantastic connection with animals!
Pet care experience
My first memory as a 5 year-old is playing with my family dog–one of many amazing and loving pups in my life. That is my first connection to myself and our world. Animals are proven to reduce stress and provide meaning to people’s lives no matter their age. Their unconditional love and boundless joy affects those around them by osmosis. Having dogs in my life since childhood taught me kindness, patience, responsibility, respect, and how to express affection. It also taught me to be aware and developed my awareness because I realized I was part of a larger ecosystem and was coexisting with a being I trusted completely, a being that loved being by my side more than anything else in the world. I'm so happy to see my 8-year-old son interact with our dog, Cinnamon, and seeing firsthand as a dog mom and a human mom how our pets teach us to open our hearts and be more gentle. I am very skilled at loving all dogs and my adoration for them runs really deep. Making them happy brings me such genuine joy, it's hard to describe without making myself sound over enthusiastic. My own dog spins in circles five times a day because I go out of my way to take her to dog parks, trail parks and on car rides! She loves hanging her head out the window and meeting new dogs. I think humans are her favorite though. I used to drive my parents crazy by bringing stray pets home in Los Angeles and rehabilitating them for the animal shelters when I lived there. You'll find that I'm skilled at training dogs as well. I am not certified in training but I am extremely patient and can help out with some bad habits you might want broken. Many friends say I have a magic touch with pups. I've volunteered in the past with SPCA of Houston and I have been working professionally with Rover since early on. I offer dog baths for free! I really want to create and maintain the best possible environment for dogs. Their happiness brings me happiness. I really look forward to welcoming your beloved pup into our family, as if they are family.
Reviews
Chelsea was a wonderful sitter for my 4.5 month old puppy and my 12 year old senior. They loved her and she took great care of them and our home!
Chelsea was great! She took pictures and met all of my requests
Thanks Chelsea for your pet care and services for our dog Kai. Really appreciate it!
Chelsea provided exceptional service for our dog Kai while we were out of town for 5 days. She is a wonderful, pet sitter, who loves dogs and all animals. She was very perceptive to my rescue dog who suffers from anxiety and doesn’t like to spend lots of time alone. So wonderful coming home from a long trip to a happy dog who was very well cared for. She sent updates and pictures- 5 stars to Chelsea for a job well done!

As a dog and human mom, I really put their welfare before mine. People say don't try to save your dog from drowning, but honestly, I would be one of those people jumping in for any dog! They are all precious beings and if I could do it, I would at least try! I'm happy to schedule a meet and greet so we can all get acquainted and we can talk face-to-face about your pup’s needs. I’ll have a full list of questions to make sure we cover all the bases. I really want to make your dog’s stay as comfortable and seamless as possible. I will be protective and loving toward all our furry guests, no matter the issue. I can definitely work with special needs dogs, ill dogs, and elderly dogs. I will provide attention, empathy, and affection to ensure your best friend is safe and sound while you’re away. I think transparency is the most important thing, so I will be in regular contact and am happy to share photos and videos and feel like you are there with us.
A typical day
My house is very homey. I have arranged things to be minimalistic but also rich with nature. My back patio has a beautiful tree in front of it, we have a green space dog run, and a wraparound porch that is enclosed with no gate. I live in Arlington very close to UTA. The neighborhood has tons of trees and seems to embrace nature, which I love. I like to send pictures of the dogs in their element: playing, snuggling, or sleeping. I’m not a dog watcher, I’m a dog lover. We would start our day out reading a book and snuggling after taking a long early morning walk. We would walk together another three times during the day, and I would feed them according to their routine. They feel thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day. When I'm not pet sitting, I'm hanging out with my dog Cinnamon and my 7-year-old son. We go exploring in the forest quite a bit and love to walk the trails. We especially love walking along the river and going to parks.
