Pet care experience

♥OH, HOW I LOVE MY FURGUESTS!!!!♥Welcome to Auntie Char's Casa de Dawg♥ SUCCESSFUL ROVER SITTER 6 YEARS "This House is Maintained Entirely for the Comfort and Convenience of your DOG!" ***Specializing in Small Breeds/Small Stature only---up to 25 lbs max, Experienced with Senior and Special Needs Doggies*** I have had more FUN with these little furkids! They truly are a blast, my favorite kind of company! ;-) Auntie Char's Casa de Dawg is a Great, Loving, Home-away-from-Home for your PuppyDog....not just during the Holidays, but all year 'round! We will be with your Furkid(s) 24 hours a day while you are away. And, playtime isn't just once or twice a day...but ALL day here!:-) We welcome them with open arms!♥ Your doggie will be part of our family while staying here with us! Our Home is a clean, safe environment with a nice backyard that is fully fenced and gated. I have been a pet parent for over 3 decades, so I have lots of personal experience in loving and taking great care of your furbabies. I've been a rover sitter for 6+ years now and I LOVE IT!!! Since I work from home and don't have any children, your Doggie will have my main attention. We have several Doggie Beds to lounge around on, and blankets, as well. I have crates available for doggies that like to have their own private space, and a dog couch, too! If they are familiar with a Doggie Door, we have one available for them to let themselves in/out as needed for potty and playtime, with grass to do their business and cement to run on, too. We will do our best to teach them how to the doggie door if they haven't experienced one before, but no worries---we let them out to relieve themselves all throughout the day. Alkaline water from Lazy Acres is served fresh daily in clean bowls, and available at all times. We will treat your Doggie as if he/she were our very own furbaby.♥ As a responsible sitter with a flexible schedule, I can provide your dog with a lot of attention during the day with lots of Love, Laughter, and Play!! Dogs like to have fun, so do we!! So you can have no worries and enjoy your getaway. About this sitter: Hi, I am Auntie Char. I so love dogs---animals, in general. I have a very diverse history working with dogs and feel comfortable around all breeds and temperaments. I am happy to work with you to learn about your dog's routine and behavior to ensure they get the best possible care while you are away. I also have a strong history working with senior & special needs dogs and can be very attentive to their needs per your instructions to make sure they get everything they require at all times. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with "a stranger" so I will make sure to send lots of updates and photos to you know they are having a good time. Dog sitting is my full-time job so I am completely focused on your furbaby when he or she is here with me. I've been married for 25 years to my husband, Jack, who is retired and helps me with all the adorable furkids who come to stay with us. Your furbaby will become part of our family while you're away. Oh, and I talk to them like they are people. I'll even answer back for them sometimes, too...... :D Hahahaaa! Why I love dog sitting I have been an Animal Lover and Doggie Owner--or, Puppy Parent, as I like to say-- basically, all my life. I have also owned several cats in the past, and currently, feed 3 feral/stray neighborhood cats. I love the connection that you can forge with an animal! The greatest Love and Bond I have ever known has been with my animals. I am a positive and caring person; taking excellent care of your pet(s) is very important to me, and I will be sure to follow all of your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog stays happy and healthy while you are away. Meet my pets: I have an 14-year-old female Boston Terrier by the name of Lily that I adopted from Boston Buddies Org in April 2014. She is a special needs dog, and I give her medication 3x's a day. About my yard Lots of fresh air, green grass and plenty of room to roam! The backyard has good security; fully cemented block fencing with wrought iron security gates. We have a cement driveway that runs from the front of the house to the backyard, available to run & romp back and forth with our supervision. There is a grass area, approx. 12 x 24 with a Fuyu Persimmon tree that shades a great portion of it. We have shade on the east side of the house, and a 10 x 10 patio canopy where we can all hang out. We also have 3-ft high portable wrought iron fencing to keep them in away from the driveway when necessary, but allows them to go in and out from the house as needed for fresh air, sunshine, play and to do their business. Your doggie will always have access to the kitchen to come inside, for shade or coolness/warmth....or just to hang out. They always like to be inside, tho....so it seems, for the most part. :-) My experience administering medication Absolutely, not a problem. I have given both oral medications and am experienced in administered insulin shots for Diabetic pets, and **chemo injections, as well. I have experience in caring for senior and special needs doggies. I am also certified in Pet First Aid/CPR. **I currently give oral medication 3 times daily to my dog, Lily. She is a special needs dog and requires lifetime medication.

We are so happy to have found Charlyn! She took excellent care of our baby, Tinkerbell! Charlyn kept us updated on Tink’s stay with text and pictures. They snuggled; they walked, and had a great time! Would 100% recommend!!

Rufus had such a great time at Char's when we went on vacation this summer. She treated him like a member of her family and sent us lots of photos. We missed him so much, but it was so wonderful to know that he was happy and taken care of while we were gone. Chris & Wendy

Char was excellent with my lil Loki! She is truly a dog lover and it shows. Her home is truly set up for the comfort of the doggies she cares for and she even lets them up on the bed at night if they need it! Loki made new friends to play with in the nice back yard and enjoyed his trip to the beach nearby. I received lots of photos and Char kept me updated on how Loki was doing. There was a heat wave while I was gone and Char and her husband Jack made sure the doggies did not get overheated. Her husband Jack is also very nice and a dog lover. Char will give special treats too,if you do not mind. Char came recommended from a friend of mine and I will always recommend her to everyone also!

Char was great with my boys. I think they were sad to leave her when we came home! She was very accommodating with acclimation visits and kept me updated with photos and stories of their adventures while we were away. I felt like she treated my pups as her own, rather than just keeping an eye on them to ensure they were 'fed and watered'. That personal attention was much appreciated! My problem child pup seemed to get attached to her right away which made our decision to go with Char a no-brainer. Thank you!

***Specializing in Small Breeds for sitting in my home up to 25 lbs. only*** Everything, of course! Their personalities: likes/dislikes, eating/sleeping habits, anxieties, socialization behaviours, etc. An initial Meet-and-Greet is required with all new clients prior to booking their stay with me, to see if we are a good fit for one other.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I live in a nice neighborhood with safe, quiet residential streets where we can walk your Doggie, which is what we prefer. And, living so close to the beach, I like to ride my bike. I have a big basket especially for my furstays to ride in with me.....and they love it!! There are also many great parks, nearby, as well. Sometimes we will go to Hilltop and Discovery Parks (Signal Hill) & Panorama Promenade that is a really great place to walk; Marine Stadium Park, or The Bluffs---which have nice greenbelts along the ocean---and located right down the street from my house. Your dog's sleeping arrangement There are several Doggie beds, crates and a doggie sofa available which I am sure they will find one of them quite comfortable. Many places to choose from, always inside the house---never outside! Of course, you can bring their bedding, blankets, or kennels, if you prefer. Time I'll spend with your dog I take my pet sitting very seriously....which simply means I like to keep an eye on them to make sure everything is running smoothly and everyone is ok. Some of my clients have "separation anxiety issues" and cannot be left alone....so they have 24-hour companionship, always. Rare occasions, I might be gone for a few hours but I do not make a habit of it when I have a stay booked; generally, either my husband Jack or I will be with your furbaby 24/7.
