Experienced Animal Lover

Pet care experience

I am a passionate animal lover received my degree in Marine Biology and a minor in Spanish. I worked at a veterinarian clinic for a year which required timely administration of medication and frequent walks and feeding. I have experience with elderly dogs and cared for a 16-year-old German Shepherd with mobility issues, IBD, arthritis, UTIs, slipped discs, kidney failure, and much more. I have never met an animal that I didn't love and really cherish all my interactions with them. I currently foster rabbits with Rabbit Advocates and love being able to provide them a safe home. I have had everything from cats to fish to gerbils to rabbits to frogs. I am more than willing to take care of any and all furry or slimy creatures that you have!

We reached out to Rover.com and were fortunate to select Charly as our dog walker. Our dog is standoffish with strangers. Charly did a great job of introducing herself and making our dog feel comfortable. Day one was an initial meet and greet with Charly and our dog. Charly was punctual for our scheduled walks. She made us aware when she was en route and she provided photos from the walk. The Rover.com app tracked the route walked, distance and length of the walk. Overall, we were pleased with the job Charly did. I would hire her services for dog walking again. If you are seeking a dog walker, please reach out to Charly.

Charly is a fantastic dog caregiver. My dog fell in love with her instantly and is so excited to see her. Charly has this natural confidence and charm around dogs. Charly is also very flexible. I once had a business trip get all messed up due to cancelled flights. Charly was so accommodating to adjust her schedule. Charly is very professional and completely trustworthy. I highly recommend her.

I have known Charly for years and she is one of the best animal caregivers I have ever met. Her passion for animals is evident as soon as you begin speaking with her, and she will put in extra effort to ensure that the animals in her care are properly fed, looked after, and happy. I have seen her work with dogs, cats, fish, horses, rabbits, and goats to name a few. She is responsible, has excellent communication skills, and will place the upmost importance on your animals' needs and wellbeing.

Charly is a very responsible, energetic and fun person and just LOVES animals! I had the pleasure of having her stay with me for 2 months to help me with my dogs, cats and horses last fall and all I can say is that I would leave her in full charge of my little farm any time, knowing that all animals would be in the best of hands!

Safety, trust & environment

Due to the tiny-ness of my apartment, I am unable to house them there. I will ask questions about what is allowed in the client's home to make sure training/rules are kept consistent.

Information Charly Y. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to know how they get along with other dogs should we encounter others on a walk. Random idiosyncracies would be good to know in order to keep it as stress-free for your pupper as possible. Obviously specific medical needs or mobility issues are not a problem for me but would need to know about them as soon as possible.

A typical day

I have a few parks near to my house and would even be willing to take your pup in my car for longer adventures to better parks with your approval. I have tennis balls and endless patience for learning how to interact with each dog/animal. I want to make sure they like me as much as I like them!
