Pet care experience
Dogs have a sincere and innocent desire to connect with humans, and it’s one of the reasons I love them so deeply. It never ceases to amaze me how much character every dog has, and how much they truly just want companionship. For me, dog-sitting provides the perfect way to be around dogs! I grew up completely surrounded by animals: I’ve volunteered at animal shelters from the time I was 8 years old, and I worked on a ranch with horses for ten years, where I cared for our pack of barn dogs. Shortly after that, I accepted a job in guest services at an elite dog & cat boarding facility. So I’ve worked with animals in a professional capacity for over twelve years. I now have one sweet rescue Puggle named Percy, who I love with all my heart. I’m considerate, flexible, and optimistic. I simply adore being with dogs, and they love to play, cuddle, and explore with me! I love to go for long walks on the greenway, where they can sniff to their heart’s content, make friends with other dogs, and avoid the distraction of cars. We can also go for walks around my suburban neighborhood, which has very wide roads. Hiking is another favorite pastime--and I don’t understand why anyone would go without a dog! At home, I spend lots of time cuddling with a good book (even better with a dog at my side), or sitting and writing music. My studio is completely dog-friendly, and dogs make the best co-writers! In times where I'm the client and I'm hiring the sitter, I've found that clear and consistent communication between pet parent and caregiver makes for the most relaxing time away. I strive to do that with all of my clients. This includes (but is not limited to) pictures, videos, and detailed updates every day. The idea of getting to spend ALL of my time meeting new dogs, and building new relationships with these sweet animals every day, makes me want to weep with delight. I can't imagine having a better job! No other occupation truly gives me the freedom and joy that comes with caring for other people's fur babies. In addition to dogs, I have experience caring for cats and horses, so please get in touch to discuss our options if you have other pets!

Great and trustworthy!!
I booked Charley for 4 days to get out of the states. My flight back got delayed by 2 days, she made arrangements to take on those extra days with very little notice. Highly recommend
Came by for a meet n greet. Understood everything that I explained to her about our dog. Very, very sweet
Charlotte was very nice and knowledgeable. She kept us up to date with how our buddies were doing. We will definitely use her again. We could not have had a better experience.

Due to my experience working in shelters, I firmly believe that all dogs should be fully loved and accepted, no matter their breed. In a meet-and-greet, I let the pup come to me first. I want to give the dog the first chance to trust me and see me as a friend before I make any further assessments. I’ll be thorough in my observations, and give the dog every opportunity to bond with me and enjoy my company. When we meet, we’ll go over a checklist as well as any and all concerns that you may have. Everything from schedule to diet to behavioral habits will be covered!
A typical day
After discussing in detail with the owner what a typical day at home looks like, I'd do my best to mimic just that! I see my job as providing care for your pup in the way that comforts her the most while mom and dad are away. I see cuddles, fetch, tricks, walks, and tug-of-war being squeezed into our busy schedule of enjoying nature and each other’s company.
