Pet care experience
Hi I’m Charlie and I’m a Young kennel club; fully insured; DBS checked dog enthusiast! I started “the mutha fluffa” pet care around 3 years ago after the death of my doberman Luna, and am now working with the princes trust to ensure every pooch in Northampton has premium pet care tailored to them! am currently training as a dog groomer (level 2 city and guilds) and have plans to open my own pet holiday home! Dog walking kept me sane throughout lockdown. After my doberman passed away suddenly, I needed a dog in my life to keep me busy and well... here we are a year later! Exercise and spending time with animals does wonders for my serotonin levels! I have over 15 years of caring for my own personal dogs and cats so will be sure to give your pet the best time they can have in my care! Given that I’ve lived in Northampton all my life with dogs, I’ll be sure to take them to all the best places for a swim, check out some smells and all the other best doggy places - all without you having to worry about the mess! I can collect from your home or meet you at a designated place. Whilst I’m not allowed to have animals in my own flat- I am able to house sit, taking care of your pets whilst you are at work or away , and have a full DBS check due to working in healthcare that can be presented on arrival! I’m currently studying and working towards my goals...including changing legislation for Childrens' rights and training to be a dog groomer! Sometimes a dog walk is needed to relieve stress !! Your pooch will be sure to be pampered in my care. I pride myself on building a relationship with your dog and yourself to establish any needs and worries. I currently work part time during the week (7:30-3pm with a break in-between) and have the rest of the week free to pamper your pup/s! Whether I need to be an early bird or night owl; I’m fully flexible around your pooche’s routine! Nothing is more important to me than your pets well-being. I aim to give your pets a “holiday at home” , ensuring they are content . I work part time on a Sunday 7 am-2pm… other than that I need a pal to help me reach my daily 10 thousand steps! Please note that a meet and greet does not guarantee I will accept the booking. Meet and greets MUST involve a tour of the house. I recommend meet and greets two weeks before the booking is due to commence, in case we aren’t a suitable fit there is time for you to arrange alternate care. Things I look for in a meet and greet: -Is the house clean and tidy? I’m unable to work in houses with mould and hoarding. -Where will I be sleeping? Is it clean and tidy/ fresh bedding? - Is there a working SHOWER? - Are there hygienic facilities for me to cook food? - I will not stay overnight if there are other people staying in the home. This does not create a comfortable environment for me and therefore the animals in my care. This includes people entering the home I am not aware will be entering. I reserve the right to end the booking without refund if there are other people in the home and I am not made aware (to avoid me not accepting a booking) I reserve the right to stay elsewhere over night (from 8pm -6am) if I feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or that the animals are in danger. In situations where animals are at risk; they will be boarded at another suitable home. - No undergarments on the floor (unhygienic and choking hazard for dogs) - I reserve the right to stay overnight elsewhere if these basic hygiene standards are not met. -(excluding dogs under 5 months) Are the animals toilet trained? -I reserve the right to cancel the booking if I am concerned for my safety. -I must be made aware of any firearms/ weapons / faux firearms/ drugs before the meet and greet. I am a VERY understanding person, but I will not be legally compromised. If I find any in my stay police will be called and the booking will be IMMEDIATELY cancelled. It is then the owners responsibility to find alternative care. Please inform all occupants of the home of this before the meet and greet. House sitting works on a foundation of mutual trust and respect. Please don’t give me a heart attack ! 😂 I work a part time job every Sunday 7:30-13:30. Payment is required in advance so I can co ordinate my shift pattern around your pooch! Please let me know if any breed specific/ individual health care needs before the booking. If it’s an ibs farty frenchie or a daring dachshund who squeezes into every gap in sight; be sure to give me a heads up!
Reviews
Charlie was absolutely brilliant with Stan, she kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos and he clearly had a great time! He’s not the easiest dog being a puppy with a lot of energy but she clearly kept him busy and he had a fab time. We would 1000% use her again to look after Stan- thank you so much!
Charlotte did an amazing job looking after our two Chihuahuas - especially as one is a puppy and the other has behavioral issues! We cannot thank her enough for being there for us when we needed it! ❤️
Wilma had a fun day with Charlotte. Charlotte spent the day playing with Wilma, giving her lots of attention and taking her out on long walks. Wilma was exhausted, but happy when we got home. Thank you.
Charlotte was absolutely amazing 🤩 This was the first time we had used someone outside family and friends to look after our beagle Tillie. She was so interactive with her as soon as they met putting us totally at ease. Our days away were so much more enjoyable knowing she was in Charlotte’s capable and loving hands. I cant recommend Charlotte enough to look after your furry friends while you are away.

I do not have a boarding license so cannot have others pets in my own home by law. However I do always allow for you to video call your pets in my care as much as you like, and speak to previous clients I have had for reassurance/ reference!
Information Charlotte L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviours I may need to account for so we can have the best experience! :) -vet care -if your dog is insured -any phobias your dog has -any specific breeds to be sure to avoid on walks (dachshunds who hate goldens or Doberman’s that can’t stand cockapoos. Let me know what brings out your dogs’ inner Nigel farag) -any health conditions - if you have a nanny cam in your house and if I am allowed mobile access By booking with me you are granting permission for me to turn off cameras whilst I am in the home. You are declaring that you have notified me of all cameras. Any cameras found that are not declared I will find alternative care for your dog’s remaining booked time and no longer care for them. Spying and playing big brother is not okay; house sitting runs on trust and integrity from both parties . Besides, you’ll have wayyyy too many videos sent to you by me to need an extra angle! I also accept video calls if you ever want to check up on them real time :) I also do no clean any glass… feel free to ask me why and laugh at our meet and greet! ?
A typical day
Chasing rabbits, playing fetch in the stream and let’s be honest, probably me yelling “LEAVE IT” as your dog scoffs as much horse poo as it possibly can before I get it back on the lead.

I'm working part time whilst working on my other ventures ! Learning languages, saving for travelling and seeing my pals! That and competing competitively at my recent hobby of dog handling! I love it!
