Pet care experience
I grew up with two household cats, and one of my cats is now 18-years-old! I love BOTH cats and dogs. My roommate has a little Puerto Rican dog named Sugar, who I look after when he is away. I also look after my dad’s cat (Bella) when he and his partner are gone. I have included some pictures of Sugar, along with my dad’s cat (in addition to my cats who are living in California with my mom). I began looking after other pets in my neighborhood when I was 10. I got paid to walk dogs occasionally and would feed my neighbor’s cats when she was out of town. I am a responsible animal-lover and can’t wait to have a family & pets of my own one day. Now that I’ve relocated to Boston for research at MGH, I can’t wait to meet all the pets of the Boston area!

Charlotte did a great job watching after our dog, was responsive to our requests, and also was very considerate. We would highly recommend her.
Charlotte was very nice, responsive, and accommodating. She was even a good sport about coming to my house prior to pet sitting, to meet my very anxious dog. And my dog liked her a lot!
Wonderful experience! Charlotte took such good care of our fur babies and even cleaned up the house before we got back. 10/10 would recommend!!
In the nearly two decades I've known Charlotte, I've witnessed firsthand her unwavering love and care for all animals. From the smallest of creatures to the largest animals, she exhibits kindness, concern, and warmth as a caregiver. She is a responsible and capable person and cat owner herself, and I fully trust her to take care of my own dog as well. There is no one else I'd rather have as a dog caregiver, and I appreciate her love, patience and attention she gives. I couldn't recommend her more.

I pay close attention to pets when I’m with them as to ensure their safety and establish trust. I will always follow rules that pet owners have laid out for me and will stick to whatever the owner feels is best for their pet (whether that be giving the animal attention or space if the animal is uncomfortable with new people). I am responsible, dependable, and like to stay in contact with the owner to make sure they get updates on how their pet is doing.

I am happy to care for sicker/older dogs if the owner gives me a list of instructions to abide by. My cat back at my mom’s in California has been quite sick (given that he is so old), so I am used to giving him oral medication whenever I visit. I think it’s important to know if the dog/cat needs any special attention or medication, their temperament, what they like and don’t like, as well as important numbers to call (owner’s #, vet’s number #, etc).
A typical day
A typical day would be contingent on what the pet owner wants. For high energy dogs, I can take them for multiple walks throughout the day and continually play with them. I sometimes train my roommate’s dog (with the assistance of treats). She’s gotten very good at following commands (she now can give high fives)! I am also happy to watch lower energy animals. I love laying low and cozying up with cats and dogs as well and will make sure all are well fed. Whatever you need, I should be able to accommodate.

During the weekdays, I am always free in the evenings (after 5 pm), but I am also flexible during the day as I work from home and have a car. I am usually free whenever on weekends.
