Welcome to Dogs Furrst: Pawsitively Unleashing Joy

Pet care experience

Transitioning from the tech start-up world, I founded Dogs Furrst, dedicating myself to the well-being and happiness of dogs. In my extended family, each pup finds a sense of belonging. Having cared for a diverse range of breeds, ages, and temperaments, I tailor my approach to accommodate every dog's unique quirks. With a passion for training, I've honed my skills with puppies and even extended my expertise to horses. Currently pursuing accreditation as an IMDT dog trainer, my studies in training and canine behavior help me identify subtle cues that might be missed. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience, I believe in the importance of monitoring group dynamics and body language. At Dogs Furrst, we shine in providing a loving environment where every dog feels comfortable and secure. FEBRUARY SPECIAL: Enjoy a £10 discount on 2-hour Wild Paws Excursions, usually £30, throughout February! The discount will be applied upon booking confirmation. Toby had a lovely time staying with Charlotte. He had fun days out, lots of walks and fun with other dogs. Charlotte kept us informed as to how he was with lots of communication. He came home one happy pooch. Would defiantly recommend.

As I write this review I’m looking at a very tired dog. He won’t even open his eyes. Huge thank you to Charlotte for taking such good care of Hobbes. It’s our first time on Rover so naturally a little nervous, but Charlotte couldn’t have been better and made us feel really at ease. We had regular updates and I’m pretty sure he’s got new command words we didn’t think he could master ? we will definitely be reaching out to Charlotte again!!!

Charlotte was a great sitter for our nervous puppy. She gave us lots of advice on how to help train him as well.

If I bring the group back to my place for boarding or in case of inclement weather during walks, I have a spacious astro-turfed garden enclosed by a sturdy, high fence. There's ample space for play, and during the summer, there's a paddling pool for added fun. Your pooch can enjoy various toys and chews, along with cozy beds and plush blankets for a restful nap if they wish.

Information Charlotte D. would like to know about your pet

Each dog I take care of is different; not to mention, each owner has established their own boundaries. It’s really important that any pet carer carries on with the training you’ve been doing and to fully understand what your pooch is comfortable with. I always send new joiners a quick form to fill out to make sure I am doing the very best for your pooch. If you own a big dog, please let me know if they work well walking on the lead. If they are a puller - that’s ok. Just give me a heads up and I’ll make sure to adjust the size of my dog group for that day. I am a whiz at administering oral medication. My partner is very experienced with injections and has a license as part of his job in a laboratory. Note on Excessive Barkers, Reactive/Anxious Dogs for Boarding: I am as respectful as possible to my neighbours so they can enjoy their homelife without too much noise or disturbance. I'm afraid can't take on any dogs who bark excessively that cannot be controlled with a command or treat. Also, for dogs that get extremely nervous at night this is something I need to work with them over a period of time to build up their confidence. If a dog howls or barks throughout the night, this isn't ideal for my neighbours but it also makes other dogs boarding quite nervous too. Please make sure to disclose any of these behaviours so I can discuss them with you, and we can even arrange a trial night before confirming the booking.
