Veterinary student and dog mom 🥰

Pet care experience

I am currently a veterinary student at CSU as well as a technician in several departments of CSU’s vet hospital. Prior to school I worked as a tech for several years and have always enjoyed treating animals and helping them feel as comfortable as possible when in my care! I have been dog sitting since I was in high school, and I now own a dog, cat, and horse of my own. I also spend a lot of time with my boyfriend’s 2 large dogs, so I am no stranger to juggling several leashes at once! I have experience working with dogs who are reactive around new people and/or dogs, and I am happy to take the time necessary to get to know your dog and their needs. I am comfortable administering medications to dogs, cats, and large animals. I would love to meet your fur babies and keep them company while you’re out and about!

Charlotte is a rare & precious find. She spent 5 days/4nights sitting for our 3 dogs (2 of which are puppies) and 2 cats and she went above and beyond to adjust to all their unique temperaments (we have all four Harry Potter houses represented in our pets). She went above and beyond to make sure our fur babies were loved and well cared for and there is no one else we could imagine feeling as comfortable leaving our pets with. Charlotte is THE best!

Charlotte took great care of our girls. She followed all of our instructions and sent us updates and photos after she dropped in on our pups. We came home to two very happy, tired girls. We will absolutely use Charlotte again.

Charlotte was fantastic doing drop in visits with our cat Onyx! This was my first time using rover so I was unfamiliar with how everything works. Charlotte was super helpful and responsive from the start that put me at ease. She was great at sending a detailed message with each visit and multiple pictures which we loved! When she was unable to come unexpectedly on one occasion she quickly set up and alternative to check in so we felt 100% comfortable our cat was being well cared for! Thank you so much Charlotte we look forward to using you again in the future!

Wonderful service, this was my first time using Rover so I was a little hesitant. Charlotte was wonderful with updates and a lovely summary of her drop-in. I have 2 special needs dogs and they were well taken care of. My dogs were fast asleep when I got home, so I know they were happy with the drop-in. I will be keeping Charlotte as a favorite from now on.

I am happy to take dogs on walks on trails, around town, or on the bike paths. I don’t ever plan to take my dog along on walks or check-ins.

Information Charlotte C. would like to know about your pet

For walks, it is always good to know how your dog feels about new people and if they are reactive around other dogs. My dog can be reactive at times, so I am very familiar with strategies to keep them calm or distracted in many scenarios. I would also love to know what your dog likes to do! Are they a sniffer, a roller, a swimmer? Let me know what makes them happy! For check-ins, I just need to know how your pet feels about new people. If I am feeding them, the amount and any supplements or medications is definitely important! Lastly, what do they like to do for fun at home? If they like a particular toy, fetch, or just snuggling on the couch, I want to know!

A typical day

There are so many beautiful trails to walk dogs in Fort Collins! My vehicle has space for up to 3 large or 4 small dogs, and I am happy to take dogs out to explore the trails! My current go-to trail with my dog is Lee Martinez Park. We can follow the trails along the river and even go for a swim (on leash, of course) if the water is calm and you would like for us to do that!

I am working part-time for the summer at CSU’s Veterinary Hospital, and my shifts are generally in the evenings. I have a lot of flexibility during most days to check on or walk your pet(s)! I am happy to set up weekly or daily times for check-ins or walks, and I am also available for one-time visits!
