A safe spot for your pets to stay.

Pet care experience

I have a wide range in experience looking after pets of all shapes and sizes. I am experienced in giving medication such as arthritis or thyroid tablets as well as putting on ointments/creams to help with various skin conditions such as eczema. I work from home full time. Ideally for me, your pet is ok for 1-2 hours on their own to allow me to carry on with my usual errands such as going food shopping. However, 24/7 care is available if needed.

We were nervous leaving our saluki cross Luna with someone she did not know but Luna settled really well with Charlotte and she was happy and felt at home. Charlotte sent me regular pup dates so i could relax knowing she was happy and being well looked after. We had a meet and greet and we could tell Charlotte is an experienced in dog sitter. When we dropped Luna off our cheeky pooch was pulling to get in, had a sniff round then disappeared upstairs and made herself at home on Charlottes bed. We feel we finally have someone we can trust with Luna which mrans a lot.4

Charlotte looked after our Cockerpoo Mollie and our Dachshund Frankie for 5 days while we were on holiday. We had regular updates with photos and they looked like they were having a great time! From first meeting Charlotte she made us feel very confident she knew what she was doing and that our pups would be well cared for. We will definitely be booking Charlotte to look after Mollie and Frankie again without hesitation! Thank you Charlotte! x

Charlotte looked after Jess for the first time and from meeting I was really comfortable knowing Jess would be well looked after. Lots of updates sent to me during the stay including videos of Jess having fun. Charlotte is lovely and Jess was relaxed around her and instantly happy to play. Absolutely thrilled to now have Charlotte as someone I can trust with leaving my precious Jess with. Will definitely be asking Charlotte again to look after Jess with reassurance and confidence that she’s in good hands

We met Charlotte for a meet and greet and our staffy Archie warmed to her straight away. This meant that when his stopover came round I was less worried about him. Charlotte kept us updated with how Archie was and when I came to pick him up he was a calm relaxed dog. We will be booking Charlotte in again for future stays. Thank you Charlotte!

Safety, trust & environment

Pet safety is a priority for me, as it should be for all sitters. Please feel free to contact me with any specific concerns you may have for your dog. I am happy to crate dogs if they are appropriately crate trained, however do not intend to leave dogs on their own unsupervised at any time. I do not have crates in my house, instead I allow dogs to free roam, and have the ability to shut off the upstairs, giving them the living room and kitchen if I go out anywhere. For me the most important part of pet sitting is that your pet as a enjoyable safe time. I make a point to reinforce training and habits that they have at home. If your pet sleeps in bed with you, then they are welcome to sleep in bed with me, if your pet isn’t allowed on the sofa, they I won’t allow them on mine. It’s about creating a happy consistent environment for them.

Information Charlotte B. would like to know about your pet

When sending a booking request, I will send you a google form to fill in, this gives me all the important information in record so I can easily refer back to it if needed. The key things I need to know are: Age/size/weight Are they spayed/intact? Are they good with other dogs/people/animals? Any medications or allergies? General routine around bathroom breaks Anything they are reactive too or struggle with (Example: I looked after a golden retriever who wouldn’t stand on hard floors) How they are on lead, what harness/accessories you use? (I have experience with prong collars, ECollars, head harnesses, muzzles etc. So am happy to use whatever your pup is most comfortable with.) Any specific dietary or behaviour requirements. I understand some dogs gets loads of treats, some dogs are on raw diets, some dogs don’t respond to treats and have a favourite toy. For me the most important thing is good consistent care for you pet, so they have as stress free stay as possible.

A typical day

I love going for long walks and am happy to exercise high energy and working dogs, however I am aware some dogs don’t tire out from physical exercise and instead need good mental stimulation or games. I am also happy to relax and chill with your pet if that is there thing. I have worked some senior pets before who don’t need/want more than a walk down the road for a toilet break, as well as some very high energy breeds such as collies.

As a work from home engineer pet care fits easily into my regular routine. I am able to offer frequent toilet breaks whenever needed and walks on a very flexible schedule. I have a dog park less than 100m from my house which is perfect for active pups. However, should your dog prefer not to socialise there are many other close by spaces for them. I have a small walled garden with a grass area for your dogs to use. However, it is not completely secure for larger breeds, therefore dogs are always supervised when in the garden. The road outside my house is a quiet road for residents only.
