Easy-going, quiet home

Pet care experience

We would love to give your pet(s) a second home while you are away, so you can enjoy your trip stress-free. That's why we started hosting dogs ourselves in 2016. After a bad kennel experience with our own dog, we tried Rover and couldn't have been happier. There's nothing like having your pets in a family home rather than a crate in a concrete room. ln our 8 years of sitting pets, we built up such great relationships with our pets and their owners that we've actually been asked to adopt 5 pets who needed to be rehomed for various reasons. We adored every one and would have taken them all, but were logistically only able to take in 3 of them over the years and we worked to help find new homes for the others. Please note that we don't do Saturday drop offs, pickups, or meet-and-greets.

Charles & Christina are fantastic dog sitters! Our dog stayed with them for just over a week and had the best time with their sweet dog Emily, cat, and other furry friend. I was nervous about leaving him for so long but the many updates that I got put my mind at ease. Highly recommend Charles & Christina if you need a home away from home for your pup.

This was our first Rover experience. Charles and Christina are accommodating, and easily assured us that Koda would be well cared for. Previously Koda only stayed at a kennel and has had little exposure to other dogs and cats, Koda seemed to fit right in and make herself at home. It seems she enjoyed her vacation as much as we did!

Charles and Christina are awesome, they cared for our two dogs like their own. They are animal lovers who are deeply committed to all animals' well-being. I loved how Christina sent photos of both dogs making themselves at home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a home away from home.

This was a great first experience! We tried a partial day visit to be sure Koda would adjust. Charles and Christina were very accommodating.

Your dog is welcome on the furniture, but if that's not allowed in your house, we'll be happy to stick to your rules here too! It's important to us that your dog feels at home, so nobody gets crated unless it's part of their routine at their own home. (We have a crate on hand, so you can feel free to leave yours at home if it makes it easier for you.) We have experience with elderly dogs, dogs with allergies, special diets, and seizures. So we'll be happy to take care of any special needs in a calm, comforting and loving manner.

Information Charles & Christina O. would like to know about your pet

If your dog hasn't stayed with us before, it's important to us that you and your dog come over and meet us before a stay. We want to make sure that everyone is happy and feels comfortable! We don't accept bookings with new dogs with less than a day's notice. If your dog has separation anxiety, food issues, potty issues, or any other special behavior, just let us know! It won't be a problem (NO judgment here, we've been through it all--with our own dogs and visiting dogs), we just need to know what to prepare for.

A typical day

We have an open floorplan house and are very close to the dogs all day. We take regular breaks to play with the dogs and keep them stimulated between nap times. We do not have a fenced yard, but we can put a long line out if your dog does need boundaries outside.
