I realized I loved animals especially dogs when visiting my grandparents farm when I was a little boy in Iowa almost 30 years ago. I would be bombarded by licks from their hounds, beagles, and German Shepards that my parents felt that I would never make it out of those dog piles! Over the years I have had 4 dogs, a cat, on 3 different continents and I have cared deeply for every one of them. One dog was a wheaten terrier named Petey who I grew up with in Chicago, our calilco cat named Tunses while I lived in Australia, and 3 ugly but great dogs I found abandoned while I was in the Peace Corps named Pickles, Martin, and Louie (after my service ended, I was able to find them great homes in my community). Overall I share a special bond with dogs and animals in general and I hope to care for your's as well!
