Pet care experience
I have always grown up with cats and when travelling around Australia between 2016 and 2019. I was lucky enough to spend months working and living on a farm as a farmhand in Western Australia, maintaining the farm and looking after cows and their calves. I absolutely loved being with animals on the farm we also had a lovely dog, two cats, and two horses. Since my time on the farm, I have wanted to work more with animals and have been searching for ways how I can volunteer or work with animals in the UK, I have also looked after friend's pets. I have a background in social care, and I now work in higher education although I love what I do. I am missing animals in my life, I would love to get a dog full time, but at the moment I live in a small flat and work 4 days a week in the office, so I can't justify getting a dog just yet. However, I would love to meet local dogs and their owners in the area.

Please note: I only take on one dog per night giving them my undivided attention, and it ensures that I am able to make a lasting relationship. If I am not boarding I am happy to do drop-in visits or house sits, however, this is booking-dependent. I am also happy to look after other animals, cats, birds, fish etc. Certificates to date: (Online) Canine First Aid Webinar (CPD hours: 2) - delivered by Animal Courses Direct - completed 27/04/2022

Please do let me know if any additional support is needed for your pet this will enable me to determine if I am the right match for your pet. My aim is the provide the best care possible and I can only do this with the full support of owners. I am happy to administer medication and follow a clear care plan. It’s important that I am also provided with emergency contacts as well as informed about any challenging behaviours that are important for me to know.
A typical day
I love to walk and explore I have a lovely park nearby my home. We can also play fetch and catch, I will of course take the lead from the doggy owner. You will also get plenty of photos, I tend to use WhatsApp for those.
