Pet care experience
I've always had a love for animals. Growing up on a small farm I've had the good fortune to have helped raise everything from cats and dogs to horses and chickens as well as helping my mother with her own pet sitting business for many years while in college. I also have some experience with birds like budgies and cockatiels and had 3 fancy rats. And I'm always looking to learn more about pets of all kinds. But what I have the most experience in is dogs. Growing up I had German shepherds, Australian shepherds, Maltese, Yorkies, and Havanese of all ages from newborn to senior. I've dealt with wild and high energy dogs as well as scared rescues and epileptic dogs who needed extra special love and attention. I'm hoping to be able use my experience and love for animals to help others care for their own beloved furry family members when they can't be there.

I had to leave my fur-baby with the sitter after her surgery. Charity was exponentially helpful in making sure she continued her medication. Charity also made sure to send updates on her status. This put my mind at ease knowing she was in great hands.

Charity watched our pup for us for several days when we were out and town and I knew she was in great hands! She and her husband and friendly and kind and she sent us plenty of pictures and updates about our girl to ease our minds! We will definitely use Charity again in the future!

I have a large field right next to my house that's great for walking dogs plus a fenced in patio, great for lounging on nice days. I have 2 cats at home that are always shy at first but come around after a couple hours

I will need to know a dog's personality. Do they prefer to be alone or do they like being around other dogs? Are they ok around children as the nearby park I use for walking dogs often has families there with small children. Are they up to date on their vaccines?
A typical day
Being in Lenexa I have the benefit of having the beautiful Sar Ko Park right next door that's an excellent place to walk dogs. I've even seen some people walk their cats there. There's also a dog park just 3 miles from my place that's a great place to take dogs to play.

Availability
I work from home so I'm able to be with your fur buddy all day, every day. Only time I might leave is if I need to run an errand but I usually wait until my husband is home so your fur buddy is never left alone.
