I am the type of person who will go up to any/ all animals that will befriend me. I believe that animals are innocent and loving creatures that set a great example for us humans on what loyalty and unconditional love looks like! We rescued our first family dog - a German Shepherd/ Labrador puppy - when I was 10 years old. I had BEGGED for a dog and was ecstatic to train her, take her for early morning/ late night walks, feed her, and exercise her. She was a spoiled and pampered pup who is now buried in our back yard where we can still visit with her! My next dog didn't come into my life until my husband came into my life. We rescued our Toy Yorkshire Terrier 3 years ago. I never thought I could be interested in having a little dog. BOY was I WRONG! We are wrapped around his little paw. I grew up in Port Orange and currently live in New Smyrna Beach so I am very familiar with Eastern Volusia County and have wide open availability during the days.
