Pet care experience

***Make sure to click “Read All” button below*** -->2024 updates🗓: we have limited availability May 4th. Are we a good fit? Please read: We never cancel or no-show on people. I'm shocked at how common that is, and how often we are helping last minute... because of that, I have found it’s important for anyone who has not used us before to please make sure they read what I have written below to make sure we are a good fit for one another, as we want to help, BUT we do not want us helping in a pinch to turn into a mismatch of expectations... So here is how to tell if we are a good fit and what to expect: We let dogs be free in our house with us all day while I work (or supervised in the yard by Michael). We usually have two sets of dogs: 1)calm/inside pups, or 2) playful pups. We let the playful dogs play and roughhouse here. 80% of our dogs are socialized happy dogs who have been coming to us for years- they make great playmates for everything from the social butterfly to those pets that haven’t been socialzed yet/new puppies. One of the things that stands out the most about us is our regular dog pack is awesome with new dogs being introduced to the group, which really helps make everything better for everyone involved. Because of this, we watch a lot of puppies. If your dog won’t do well with a puppy learning how to socialize, please pick a different sitter bc we want all of our dogs to have a wonderful experience here and we pride ourselves in this being a great place for a puppy to learn to socialize for the first time. With watching puppies, we tell owners not to bring anything they don’t want to be peed or chewed on. We have plenty of beds, but please bring a kennel if you are kennel training or your dog likes to have a space to him/herself. Please bring your own food, we do not want GI problems any more than you do. We don’t need bowls, we have slow feeders for our gulpers and plenty of bowls for the other pups. Other than food, we only really need a collar, but if you forget, we have extras. Please, no physically injured dogs, but we are happy to give medications as long as the dog has no physical limitations. We are happy to answer any additional questions but we think this will help, especially if you are trying to find someone on short notice!

I left my 4 1/2 month old vizsla puppy with Chantell last minute to attend a funeral over the weekend. I wanted to find someone who knows and appreciates energetic puppies like mine and I found the place! My puppy got to safely socialize with all sizes and breeds of dogs that he hasn’t met before and got all the love from Chantell and her family. I got daily updates to ease my mind and will definitely be contacting Chantell again when I need another sitter. Thank you Chantell and family!

I was very happy with Chantell and Michael. They took great care of my pug and sent great updates that reassured me that he was in great hands. They accepted my booking on very short notice which I appreciated. Would absolutely bring my dog back.

Absolutely amazing experience! My pup had a blast, hosts are very kind and you can tell they really care! Great backyard space and plenty of other pups for mine to play with. Will definitely be using them from now on!

Information Chantell K. would like to know about your pet

Mostly all I need to know is if there are things that make your dog happy or unhappy so I can make sure that he/she has a wonderful time! It's also very helpful if there are any chewing/digging/medical issues/etc so I can just be aware in advance and not get surprised when I find a missing shoe :). We do not accept aggressive dogs or dogs that do not do well with tiny dogs (3 lb dogs and/or small children). Of the hundreds of dogs we have watched - they have all been so different it really makes sitting dogs very enjoyable. The key to our success is we take a lot of time to introduce each dog one at a time, to ensure every dog feels safe and free to play. The older dogs/smaller dogs snuggle inside in the living room and we usually have a lap full of dogs. We love to spoil the dogs and make them feel loved. We are happy to accommodate requests and will always keep up any routine or training you are working on (if they don’t get on furniture in your house- they won’t in ours, etc). We want this to be just like your house but with a few more friends.

A typical day

We do not walk dogs, luckily we have a large yard that is big enough to safely get plenty of supervised exercise. We give one-on-one attention to all of the dogs and will play lots of games with them. Small dogs are never outside without me more than 5 ft from them, no dogs are allowed outside when we aren’t home or watching, and we have no carpet in the house so we let the dogs live in it just as we would.
