My name is Chandni & I want to thank you for visiting my profile! I'll keep it short & simple because I believe that in person conversations are always better than informal texts. I have a full time small business taking care of dogs, cats, and other animals. I work 7 days a week unless I'm away/out of town. I take pride in my work since I know taking care of dogs is not as simple as giving them a treat and a few pets. All dogs are different and have their different personalities, so I like to cater to each individual pup differently but I always carry out my "job" with respect and integrity for the dog(s) & their parents. I graduated from UCONN with a B.S in Psychology and worked in that field for a couple years while maintaining a side job of dog walks here and there. I soon realized I didn't like working with humans & pursued my dream of working with and alongside dogs & animals. I have taken it upon myself to educate myself on different breeds & what they require, basic & effective training methods, & staying alert of my environment when I am with dog(s) to prevent any issues or injuries. I have taken care of various breeds of dogs as well as all age groups: puppies to the elderly. I always cater to the owner and their requests. After all, I am taking care of your family member. Every animal deserves love and cuddles. Safety and the well being of the animal is always my top priority along with hugs, playtime, and nap time :). **I understand my rates are a bit higher than most sitters in the area. I am flexible in terms of accommodating a pet parent(s) budget. My rates are based on my experience and knowledge gained throughout the years. I take personal responsibility for all my client's pups until they are safely back at home with their families.

My own personal house has a yard, that is not fenced in. I live on a quiet street with plenty of dog owners and friendly neighbors who love and adores dogs as well. We allow dog(s) to go onto the furniture & do not enforce kennels, unless clearly stated by the pet parent(s). I care for the dog(s), cat(s), and others as advised by the parent(s). I usually can tell, through years of experience, what the animal is comfortable with, what they prefer, or if they have specific routines or quirks that require getting used to. Caring for an animal is in its own way like raising a child; every child is different and prefers different things or actions. In the same way, every dog / cat has their own preference and way of doing things & the priority is to cater to those specific traits.

I have worked with various furry family members. From the tiniest goof balls to the big cuddle bugs, I have experience with all types and breeds of dogs. I have experience walking, feeding, and exercising dogs (playing catch, running, etc.). I also have experience in administering medication during illnesses or keeping health issues in check. I am first-aid certified. I usually don't work with dogs who have aggression issues or are wary of strangers. I have had a couple bad experiences due to a dog parent's negligence/lack of knowledge with their dog's aggressive behavior. I have been attacked by dogs a couple times due to lack of information from the parents. I would much rather avoid that type of scenario going forward.
A typical day
I typically work around the dog and owner's schedule while including my schedule in the mix. I carter to my clients and the fur baby's schedule. My starting and end goal is to make sure the clients feel happy and confident knowing that their family member is being provided with the same love and attention they provide. I walk, feed, and interact with my current client's dogs the way I am advised. I like to take the dog(s) to the park or beach (in the spring and summer), if the client(s) allow. I like to know that the dog is getting the exercise they need & are being cared for in a way that makes them comfortable & stress free.

Availability
This is my livelihood and I enjoy waking up for "work" everyday. I love what I do more and more every time I see the dogs because I get to watch them grow into their personalities and become a whole new dog. Their confidence grows & the trust I get to build with them is another bonus. 99% of my days consist of dogs and cats.
