Thank you for checking out my profile! I am taking a sabbatical from watching dogs at this time. Please keep me in mind for the future. I'd love to provide a "home away from home" for your pet, or provide excellent drop in care so your pet can stay in the comfort of their own home. Keep reading to learn more... I have been a lifelong animal lover and have had dogs as long as I can remember. As an adult, I have always had my own dog, and have provided excellent care for my own dogs, as well as providing care for other dogs as well. Before having children I frequently house sat/ pet sat for a few families and always enjoyed taking care of their dogs and animals. I have a huge heart for dogs and will provide care for them just as they are my own. We have three children, ages 10, 8, 6 that also all love animals. We have a Brittany dog also. My 10 year old is especially a huge animal lover and will be helping with some easier animal care tasks. We homeschool so we are home most all of the time and will be able to provide lots of love, attention, and exercise. I know how hard it is to leave beloved pets in the care of someone else, and we will do our absolute best to provide them with a home away from home and to give them all the love and attention that they are used to- AND MORE! Here are some of our requirements and preferences: Dogs must be potty trained, absolutely no exceptions. Anxious accidents are considered to NOT be potty trained. Dogs must do well with children and other dogs- no exceptions. Dogs must not be incessant barkers or suffer from moderate to major separation anxiety, no exceptions. Dogs must be crate trained or sleep well unattended in an enclosed room. Dogs must sleep well at night! We do not allow dogs to sleep in our room or bed. All dogs must sleep well independently. Sorry- no exceptions! Extra charges will be added for dogs that have trouble sleeping well at night. Dogs must be healthy and not have a contractible disease, and on flea and tick prevention. We are in the country so we do have ticks! We will only be able to accommodate dogs 50lbs and below for in home boarding. Please provide detailed care information and also let us know about any preferences or behavioral quirks your dog has. We want to know as much as possible so we can provide the best care possible.
A typical day
We will provide daily rounds of fetch, and possible hikes and walks occasionally, if dog is leash trained. Our Brittany dog will also provide lots of canine play and interaction! We also enjoy petting and snuggling with doggies once all of that energy is burned off!
