Hi! My girlfriend (Audrey, 29y/o) and I (Chad, 30) started watching dogs on Rover while we were working and living in New Orleans together in 2015 and have enjoyed every minute of it since! We each have a bachelor's degree, mine in Construction Management and hers in Psychology; and she is currently pursuing a graduate degree to be a nurse. We both love animals and frequently volunteer to watch our friends’ and co-workers’ pets when they are out of town. Together, we care for our dogs Reina, Cash and Remi. All three are rescues and some of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. Reina is a Doberman weighing about 75lbs. She is a very sweet and loving girl and would gladly spend the entire day cuddling if she could. We adopted Cash and Remi together at 6mo old in July of 2020. They instantly became part of the family and we couldn't imagine life without them now. They each have their own unique traits and personalities but both are sweet loving pups who just want to play and be near their family. We live in a single story ranch style house (roughly 2100 SF) in a great neighborhood with a private fully fenced-in yard. The property is almost half an acre so the yard has enough room for them to run and play as they please. We take the dogs on a walk or run most days if the weather cooperates. Our schedules tend to contrast each other’s during the week, with me going to work earlier in the day and Audrey later in the morning or in the evenings. We also have a roommate who loves dogs and adds to the flexibility of our schedules. Fortunately, this means that there is nearly always someone at home playing and hanging out with the dogs! Throughout our life we have owned and cared for two Labradors, a Miniature Dachshund, a Weimaraner, a Miniature Australian Shepard, a Shepard mix and now cash, Remi and Reina (as well as a variety of other pets including hamsters, rabbits, cats, turtles, fish, lizards, frogs, and a sugar glider). Through Rover we have watched around 100 dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments and personalities. We are comfortable with most medical needs and routines as well as daily/weekly hygiene needs. Anything your dog needs, we are more than happy to oblige! A stay with us will consist of a daily walk and/or significant indoor/outdoor playtime. We can offer complete supervision every evening after 5pm (as well as sparingly throughout the day) and all day Saturday & Sunday. We are typically not away from the house for more than a few hours at a time. Obviously, we do not anticipate any issues; but should any emergency arise we are able to provide transportation to any one of the local vets/emergency clinics near us.
