Hello! We love spending time with our two dogs and know how hard it is to find someone we trust to take care of them while we are away. We had a bad experience the last time that we had to travel so we decided to open our home to other families. We have looked after friends and family members dogs for as long as we can remember. We have also taken care of our training clients dogs, either as board to train or just a vacation for their pets while their families are getting some relaxation. Chad holds multiple certifications as a professional dog trainer and only employs humane techniques. He was Behavior and Training Manager for a large animal welfare organization locally and has developed behavior and enrichment programs for shelter dogs for years. He has worked for large boarding companies, training their staff on standards of care and how to facilitate playgroups safely. Chad also does emergency response for Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA. He founded Super Dogs and more recently the Sidekick Dog Club. Everyday starts with breakfast and a play session in our fenced back yard. Usually followed up by a walk around our quiet neighborhood or a nap, depending on the activity level of your dog. Our two dogs Babs and Frog are always excited to meet new friends and are great playmates if your dog likes to romp. We like to take a mid day trip to the park or lake. Our guests are usually pretty wiped out by the afternoon and can benefit from a nice nap. Dinner follows in early evening with another bout of play in the large back yard. A long walk around the neighborhood and a yummy stuffed Kong generally round out the evening. Sleeping arrangements are decided by the dog and their family. We let the dog decide where they would like to rest for the night, we can also accommodate if the dog is crate trained.
