I grew up with everything from guinea pigs to chickens to cats and dogs; and loved them all. I treat my own and other pets like family. I am usually in a Cornell nanotechnology Lab, around Cornell University, during the weekday from ~ 9 am - 12 pm, and, for the most part, can do the rest of my work from home, or any place, after that time. I have the basic dog handling skills, can recognize general dog signals, a lot of patience, and love to be active - so I can keep up with even the most hyperactive dogs all day. I also live around many gorge trails, hiking paths, dog friendly public areas, and a relatively safe environment for dogs and other pets.
