Being that I went to school for psychology, I have the education piece to help understand, train (such as operant conditioning) and work with dogs. When working with dogs I feel the most important thing to recognize is that reinforcement is necessary with them just as much as it is with people. I've had a few dogs since I was a little girl and have always trained them myself. I've had dogs that would show distress with water (i.e. scared, tense, run, etc.) and with love and compassionate they made a 180 degree turn. Many times, I have been called the "Dog Whisperer," which I take a lot of pride in. I am also knowledgeable about the items that can harm animals (i.e. cleaning products, certain foods, etc.) and do not keep any of the products in the home that is accessible. I think consistency is important and will be happy to follow specific regimes anyone has set, as well! It's best for them! My availability is flexible with proper communication. I cannot wait to meet your babies and provide the best pet care possible!
