I can't imagine life without our delightful canine friends. I've been very lucky to have cared for dogs my entire life. I grew up with a lab and golden retriever and have been consistently pet sitting for friends and family since the early 2000s. This is my first foray into the professional dog sitting world, and I am excited to meet more members of the Willamette Valley community, both pets and their humans. Most of my dog sitting experience has included long term (one to two weeks), onsite stays in outdoorsy locations (mostly Colorado Central Mountains) that include plenty of walks and/or adventures. I believe I excel at making dogs feel comfortable with me because I am able to adjust to their everyday life as seamlessly as possible. I truly appreciate the humor, affection and energy of animals, and I can never say what kind of dog is my favorite because I truly love them all. Some general background information: I moved from Colorado to Oregon in the spring of 2019 to live closer to family. I lived in Portland for a couple of years and worked as a temporary administrative assistant for a nonprofit organization. I moved to Salem this spring after accepting a volunteer coordinator position with another nonprofit. My interests include exploring Oregon’s beautiful natural areas, participating as much as possible in performing arts / yoga / reading / meditation, and spending time with friends and family.
