Madonna's mommie loves all dogs
Pet care experience
I'm a lifelong dog lover with an 8 year old dachshund named Madonna. We lost our beloved Bella, a 10 year old Cairn Terrier in 2013 (I'm still mourning the loss) and would be happy to house sit other pups so that Madonna can make new friends. I work very close to home and we take frequent walks in my rental community. There's even a dog park in the community, however, dogs must be small due to a weight restriction where I live. My address says Limekiln Pike, however, it is actually right off 309 where the freeway ends at Greenwood Ave. the Towers at Wyncote's entrance is right at Greenwood. I'm in building two. In terms of 24/7 availability, I teach college and have commitments some nights and weekends. If your dog is okay spending the afternoon or evening with my dog, then 24/7 will work from September-May. There's dog park here at me complex and we take walks all around the property as well. I do not stay home all the time with my pup. I work full-time. Summers, I work less full-time hours at the college and work from home a lot.

I've used Celeste to watch my dog, Charlie, many times and there's no other person I've trusted more! I had her watch my baby while we were away for two weeks and felt at ease knowing he was in such great care. She sends pictures throughout the stay and loves on him like her own. Very highly recommend Celeste, always!
Celeste was great! My first time using DogVacay and I could not be happier. I was nervous at first, but meeting her and Madonna, I felt relieved and comfortable. She sent pictures while I was away and took Charlie to the dog park! I will be using her again and would highly recommend her. Thank you!!
Start this off by saying that I am really protective of my dogs: I wouldn't let them stay with just anyone. Celeste was special. She's a real dog person and could handle my two girls. They had a super stay with Madonna.
Celeste impressed me within a few minutes of meeting her. She directed me in how to get my Yorkie to get used to her Doxie. This put me at ease and allevaited my anxiety about leaving my dog with a stranger. All in all, my doggie was very well cared for!

I need to know any and all special conditions. For instance, I'm really not okay with dogs who are not house trained or who are incontinent. I understand accidents, that's normal, but I am not comfortable constantly cleaning my carpets while dog sitting. If a dog has biting issues, I need to know that as well and may refuse to care for them in that case. I prefer small breeds since there is a weight restriction at my complex. I really enjoy other Doxies since they tend to get along well with my dog. However, any small breed (35 pounds and under) is fine.
A typical day
I live in a gated community and we have a small on-site dog park. I usually take dogs on a long walk in the morning and shorter walks in the afternoon and evening. Sometimes we go to the university and take a long walk on the green. We have many dog toys and Madonna doesn't mind sharing her toys as long as she can play with your pups toys. My dog sleeps with me, but does not like to share her night-time bed with many other dogs. One of my dog's favorite trips is to the pet store for lots of great smells and treats.
