Here for you and your pet.

Pet care experience

I have 3 years of experience in animal welfare. Working in shelters has given me the tools to be ready, and provide what your pets need. I am comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, enrichment, basic behavior training, potty training, administering medicine, brushing, and light grooming. I have also completed classes that were taught by professional animal trainer, Kelly Bolen, recieving a certificate in dog/cat handling, behavior, and reading body language. This has taught me to communicate easier with my body and voice to ensure your pets are comfortable and happy. Meet and greet are recommended, but not necessary. Currently I work part-time. My work schedule isn't set, but it's defnitely open! This gives me plenty of free time! I prefer at least 1 week in advance, but short notices may work sometimes. Just ask! Unfortunately, I am temporarily staying with my family. Because of this I can not board nor care for animals in my home (small animals may be exceptions.). By July, I will be able to provide these services once again.

Awesome girl!! I was friends with her mom for a long time.. this girl had a love for animals ever since she could understand what an animal was. Over like a year and half her mom would help her watch my home and pets when I was gone over night for my appointments. She caught on quick cause after just a few times she was able to take care of the animals without her mom. She did a great job every time it was pretty impressive. Her mom and I would be hangin out when she got home from school and shed have animal encyclopedias and look at it for hours. Last time I spoke to her mom cecily just started at an animal shelter. I dont know much about that except her mom said she loved it. Im not surprised that a little girl with that kind of interest grew up wanting to take care of animals. I think its great! I hope things are well hun! xoxo tell your momma I said I love her!!..

even though i would only see her every so often out of the handful of years I've known her, ive learned a lot. her passion for animals is so strong!! ever since i can remember cecily has always had the biggest heart ever. she knows what she believes in and why when it comes to animal care stuff. i remember when she was dead set on getting that job at the shelter. oh man she was so happy when she got it!! she would tell me things like, 'the shelter is where i belong', or that 'the animals are better off with me than without me', no matter how hard some days were. and i full heartedly believe it. and it wasn't just passion she also has so much knowledge when it comes to this stuff. when we would hang out she would always talk about the shelter. she could have probably talked about it all day if she could. i remember at one point she had 2 dogs 2 cats and 3 rats of her own and after long days at work she would just continue her animal stuff at home. i think it's super cool that she knows what makes her happy. thats why shes so good at it!! i would totally trust my animals with her at anytime. i know theyd be loved and taken care of.

Special needs dog experience

Information Cecily W. would like to know about your pet

Before pet sitting I want to know what your dog doesn't like, what it loves, and what you, as the owner, think it can improve on. This will give me an idea of the things that will impact the dogs life directly. I need to know any medical issues, and any kind of aggression (resource, barrier, etc.). That way I can make my best judgments. Transparency is a must when developing a sitter/pet relationship. The more information the better!

A typical day

Anywhere with new smells that will fascinate the dog. My go-to kind of places are parks, trails, and near the river.
