Pet care experience
Cecilia has over 25 years of experience training dogs without force and without painful methods. Cecilia's father was her first mentor. At the age of 16 years old, she started working with German Shepherd Dogs in the obedience discipline. From the start, she focused on developing a leadership relationship with the dog in order to have a trusted companion that will follow cues at all times not out of fear but out of respect and love for its handler. Her methods of raising puppies are unique and produce well-behave and loyal companions. Cecilia is also an Equine Massage Therapist and Cavaletti Trainer. She has been working with horses since 1996. She broke ground with these techniques at the San Diego Polo Club. Cecilia's upbringing as Zen Buddhist gives her ideal calmness and infinite patience in searching the best way to interact with the animals she treats and train; and her sense of humor and ever-positive attitude make her clients have a good time while training their dogs or watching their horses enjoy a massage session. Cecilia is a well-vetted instructor at law enforcement agencies, and US Navy Special Operations Forces. You can see her complete professional background in LinkedIn

Cecilia was wonderful! We needed someone to look after our dog while we went to the USS MIDWAY for the day. Cosmo was happy and relaxed and we received videos of him throughout the day. Great experience, would absolutely book again!!
Cecilia provided a safe, caring and healthy environment for our dog, Zia, during our recent two week vacation. Until now we have typically traveled with our dog due to the difficulty we've had finding a place where she could integrate comfortably with other dogs while also adjusting to a new location. At Cecilia's she was comfortable from the get go and we were provided with photos during our time away so that we could still feel connected. Basically, while we were on vacation, our dog was also "on vacation" and enjoying her time outdoors!
I had issues boarding my dog at a San Diego downtown facility due to poor conditions available at that location. All large dogs were kept in a small confined space with too many of them in there at once. My dog looked intimidated and hated being there. Her tail was tucked in and she looked miserable. I could no longer have her stay there and suffer so I decided to switch. After doing some research I decided to board my dog with Meridus K9. She instantly loved the place. They have an enormous yard for dogs to play, with plenty of toys on a soft surface(artificial grass). I was allowed to play with my dog when I dropped her off. She ran and chased the ball, it was love at first sight for her. Her tail was wagging and she looked excited to be there. I have a total of 3 dogs and decided to move all of them to Meridus K9 so they can be together at once place. Despite the drive I have to make from downtown to drop them off (~20min) it is worth it. The dogs feel like they are in paradise. They treat pets like humans or even better. Dogs sleep inside in a setting tailored for the dogs need. Strongly recommend this place!!!
Cecilia is a very knowledgable, kind woman and excellent with dogs! She is a CPDT certified dog trainer/behaviorist and works with all kinds of dogs from pets to service dogs. She also has a good facility for dog boarding, with a spacious backyard and sizable kennel runs for introductions. Cecilia is very attentive to dog's individual needs and personalities, and a wonderful choice for a dog sitter!

I only care for pets in my home. I have cameras installed in multiple parts of the property. Dogs that do not like being with other dogs, have a private area for each dog individually. I only have 6 dogs under my care at a time. If dogs are okay with cats, then they spend time with me in the office.

Is the dog friendly with other dogs? Does the dog bark a lot? Is the dog crate train to sleep at night? Dogs are not in crates during the day however they sleep in their respective crates during the night.
A typical day
We walk mornings and evenings, and there are plenty of toys around the property. I also have an agility course with jumps and weavers to stimulate dogs.
