Undergraduate dog enthusiast!

Pet care experience

Hello everyone, I'm Cecelia. I’m a second year neuroscience major at the Georgia Institute of Technology and decided to become a dog walker because as anyone who knows me will testify, I *love* dogs. I've volunteered in animal shelters (with both dogs and cats) and I'm a responsible pet owner and have my own dog, a rescue from the Humane Society, whom I trained on my own with treats and a clicker. She lives with my parents back in Marietta, GA. My availability is limited on Monday and Wednesday afternoons due to labs, but otherwise my course load is fairly light and I have plenty of free time after before and after class to walk and sit dogs—I don’t have a car on campus, but I do have a MARTA pass and am located right near the midtown and downtown area. I can train dogs with clickers and with just treats, and (though this is not entirely relevant but also shows responsibility), I am adult and pediatric first aid and CPR certified by the Red Cross and am looking into getting certified for pet first aid and CPR as well. I am relatively new here on Rover and would love the opportunity to prove to you how well I can get along with and take care of your dogs. I'm excited to spend time getting to know as many good boys and girls in Atlanta as possible :-)

Cece loves dogs and dogs love her. They get along very naturally. We have a 18-month-old lab mix at home. Cece has been taking good care of her since we had her. Cece is experienced with walking dogs and cleaning up messes. Cece is also responsible and flexible. She is a loving dog caregiver and I highly recommend her.

Cecelia is the biggest dog lover I know. She always stops on the sidewalk to talk to a dog owner, ask what the dog's name is, and give him or her a nice pet. I jokingly call her a "dog magnet" as dogs at the dog park always seem to gravitate towards her. Cecelia is a responsible pet owner; she loves her own dog "Mochi" very much and provides excellent exercise, feeding, and clean-up care for the Labrador/Great Pyrenees mix. Cecelia has also taken great care of my own dog, a Chihuahua mix named "Zyke".

Information Cecelia L. would like to know about your pet

I’d like to know whether he/she is good with other dogs (to determine whether or not parks are an option), their general temperament (are they friendly? shy? anxious? loud?), and whether or not the dog has any allergies (to determine whether or not I can give a few treats for good behavior). I'd also like to know what the dog likes! Does he/she have any favorite activities, like to run, like to play with other dogs, etc.? do not have any breed preferences—I love all dogs equally :-)

A typical day

I can take dogs to nearby dog parks (Piedmont, Atlantic Station, and Renaissance are the closest to me and are the ones I am most familiar with) and I can play fetch, tug-of-war, and even wrestle if the dog is big enough. For pet sitting, I can also do training with clickers and treats, and for walking, I can also jog with dogs if they need exercise beyond just walks.
