Doggy's Day Home Pet Services

Pet care experience

*for more accurate pricing for my services, see info cards in photo section!* I have a solid background in caring for pets of different breeds, temperaments, and various stages of life spanning over ten years. The majority of my experience has stemmed from volunteer work through animal rescues where I fostered dogs and cats in need, as well as owning pets personally. I currently have two dogs and three cats. My older dog is coming up on about 8 this year and suffers from hypothyroidism and arthritis, so I’m familiar with the extra care that goes into our senior pets! My other dog is a 120lb Labrador/Great Pyrenees of only five years old, and my two cats are 1 and 3. After four years of being employed with a boarding/doggy daycare company, I’ve decided it is no longer the type of work I enjoy. I’ve realized that I wish to offer pet care to the owners whose pets struggle in a kennel environment or dogs who specifically do not thrive in a group play session with other dogs. As a previous owner of a reactive dog, I understand experiencing disappointment that your dog isn’t able to attend daycare or play with other dogs in general. Some dogs just prefer human companionship and interaction, which I’d love to give them while you’re away!

Cayli did such an outstanding job that we were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about our dog or cat. She maintained their eating and food schedule very consistently. You can tell from the daily pix she sent that they look happy and love her! We would highly recommend her!

Safety, trust & environment

I will follow any rules and regulations set by the owner to ensure the utmost comfort with me staying in the home. If your pets follow a specific schedule/routine, I am more than willing to stick with that as best I can, which will make your absence a little easier for your pet!

Information Cayli H. would like to know about your pet

No detail about your pet is too insignificant. I encourage my clients to offer as much information as possible regarding their pet’s health and needs. There is nothing silly about the concerns you have regarding your pets—they’re very important to us, after all! I like to start by asking about any issues your pet may have: allergies, on-going health conditions, special requirements/needs and medications. This will ensure that I have the capability of maintaining your pet’s care while you’re away, as I will not take on any responsibilities I feel I cannot handle, and I will be upfront about any doubts I may have. I think it is also important to learn about your dog’s personality and behavior, another aspect I encourage owners to speak openly about. Two of my personal dogs have behavioral issues, including dog aggression and fear aggression with people, which make them reactive in a lot of situations. Anything like that will help me tremendously in interacting with your pets!

A typical day

- Playtime/enrichment with their favorite toy! - Fun with water, if they're water lovers (during warmer months) - Training games (just doing fun tricks with yummy rewards) If your pup/s are less active, we will have cuddle time, belly rubs, back scratches and butt scratches. I'm also not opposed to going for drives if your pet loves car rides! For the Felines: - Enrichment with their toys (I've had a cat who loved playing fetch with hair ties, and another who actually played hide and seek!) - Walks, if your cat likes being leashed walk! - People/bird watching (my own cats favorite past time.) - Lots of lovin'!
