Reliable, Loving, & Experienced
Pet care experience
I happily provide doggy daycare, walks, and dog taxi for pups in the Seattle area. My doggy-boarding services are currently on hold. Reliable, loving, experienced. I have over 10 years of experience dog-sitting, house-sitting and general home & family care taking. Trustworthy and experienced, I will care for your pup with equal parts warmth, and confidence. I also have my own four year old oversized Yorkie, Ringo. He has a calm disposition and will get friendly after some exposure (if not right away). Whether relaxing in my spacious dog-friendly home, or outside in the half acre grassy Seven Hills park in Capitol Hill, or out on a doggy adventure, I can guarantee your dog will be in great hands- and return to you a happy pup. Why I love dog sitting I have had my own dog for just over three years now- and I consider it to be one of my deepest, and most meaningful relationships. I have witnessed firsthand – dogs are sentient beings with highly developed emotional lives. I know how much the well-being of a dog means to a person or family, they're such a great part of the joy in our lives! I have cared for others' dogs and homes (and children) for the last 10 years professionally. Since becoming the proud parent of Ringo the Yorkie, I have delved into understanding health and happiness of canines, and other animals. I enjoy reading and researching books and articles written by experts in animal behavior and psychology, with titles that include authors like Temple Grandin (Animals Make Us Human), A Dog's Mind (Bruce Fogle, vet and prolific author, chairman of Human Society International), How to Behave So Your Dog Behaves (Dr. Sophia Yin). I regularly provide daycare and overnight services for a 8 month old puppy gal. Who's human dad can give a glowing recommendation. Meet my pets Four year old dog, oversized Yorkshire Terrier, calm disposition, friendly. Experienced with stranger-dog companionship. About my yard I live in a spacious townhome in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Attached to my building is an unfenced half acre park, with grassy, running room. I live less than a mile away from Volunteer Park & the Arboretum, Cal Anderson, and like to take my dog to off-leash areas around Seattle. Mercer Island, West Seattle, and Magnusson Park. My experience administering medication Yes, I am comfortable administering medication. I have long been a nanny, and worked in the medical profession. I have experience administering medication to humans, and have done so for my own pet.
Reviews
Catleah was phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a better first time Rover experience. She treated Oliver as if he were her own (I think he was sad to leave!) and kept me updated during his entire stay. She is a fantastic caretaker with a big heart. Look no further, if I have my way - I will exclusively request her services anytime I need a home away from home for Oliver.

Information Catleah C. would like to know about your pet
What is your dog’s regular schedule (feeding, walks, treats, etc.)? What are your dog’s food requirements (food type, allergies, intolerance, etc)? How much supervision does your pup require? How long does your dog typically go without a potty break? Does your dog have any problems with possessiveness? Does your dog exhibit a lot of separation anxiety? Does your dog bark a lot (what causes barking)? Does your dog have any history of health or behavior issues? Is your dog on medication (also need vet information for your dog, other emergency contact numbers)? I live a few blocks away from three different vet clinics. Anything else you want to tell me about your pup?
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks All throughout Seattle urban parks and trail areas- but really, it depends on the dog. Most dogs love a lot of exercise, for older dogs or dogs with health issues, I'll leave it to the discretion of the owner. However, my little dog and I go on three run/walks a day of about two miles or more, each. This does not include the several times in between we go to just hang in the park, not getting into serious walking mode, but just hanging out enjoying the grass and weather. I love being out, I am very active, and I have lots of time to do so. We can go on doggy adventures to Magnusson Park, and hangout on the banks and docks of Lake Union an the Center for Wooden Boats, where they love dogs! Your dog's sleeping arrangement In my room, which is carpeted. I can put crates by my bedside as well. Time I'll spend with your dog All day, with no unsupervised time. I work part-time from home, on my own schedule. My partner and I spend all day with my own dog, and will do so with yours, too! Lots of walks, lots of park time, lots of love to give.
