Dog lover looking for part time pups
Pet care experience
I am a caring & experienced dog owner, walker and minder. I'm trustworthy and reliable (DBS checked). I am at home in the daytimes and some evenings. I have a fairly large maisonette with a yard. I live within a 10 minute walk from several parks, including Clapham Common. I like to vary my daily walking routes so that dogs get new sights and sniffs to enjoy. I've previously owned 2 rescue dogs - a young & nervous German Shepherd and an old Lab-Rottie. I'm confident walking dogs of all sizes and ages. I've had experience boarding dogs of all ages along with very young puppies from Cockapoos to Rottweilers. I'm happy to work with the rules and routines set by each pet-parent & I will treat your pet as my own. I'm always happy to arrange a meet & greet - you should feel comfortable knowing that your dog gets on with me and you're welcome to visit my home for daycare/ boarding bookings. I look forward to hearing from you. I work in event security so I am available for doggy daycare most daytimes and boarding for a good many nights. I am happy to look after pups for 1 night or several weeks. I have a walled front yard for regular toilet breaks and a decent sized grassed area (set back from the road) 2 minutes walk away.

Cathy looked after our 1-year old Labrador for two weeks on his first stay away from home. He enjoyed socialising with the other dogs in her home and she sent us regular pictures and videos to show how he was getting on. He had obviously been well-cared for and on our return was his usual exuberant and healthy self! We all felt comfortable and happy that he was in good hands being cared for by her in our absence.
Alfie enjoyed himself and Cathy was super flexible re drop off and pick up. Thank you!
Cathy was great! With a first time away from home puppy the updates were really appreciated. Puppy definitely enjoyed her time with Cathy and the other boarders!

I understand that young puppies are still learning and have accidents, but I expect slightly older dogs to be house trained. I also require information about issues with other dogs at the time of booking so I can make sure of suitable companions.
A typical day
At various local parks I will play with the dogs and their favourite toys. I will either socialise them with other dogs or keep them separate, depending on their temperament. I try to give them as much exercise as they need and always take water with me.

I work evenings and weekends doing theatre security around dogsitting bookings. I work pretty much 2 weeks in advance so should be able to accommodate antisocial hours fairly easily.
